Shark fished last night in SC with the Senator and heavy TroKar. 10 mins into the first drop I get a small run for 5-7 seconds. Figured the shark dropped it. Couldn't get the line tight, reel in and there sits in the surf is a 3 ft Atlantic sharpnose and hooked the exact same as yours. What's crazy is that my first shark of 2017 and will be one to remember. Much respect for that shark thou, took that hook like a champ!

Viktor, if you get shark burn, wash it, rinse well, air dry and then put the thinnest smearing of Bepanthen (daiper cream) over the area. Repeat this all twice or three times a dy to keep the wound clean and healthy. Pain reduction is very noticeable, to say the least. Just remember, you want the thinnest layer you can get on your skin.

The small shark hooked on the LARGE bait. I reckon he's grabbed the hook area where it was bridled to the bait, thus you lost a big bait for small shark. Had the hook been lodged 'into' the bait he may have only chewed the bait up a bit. I doubt he ate that whole bait, just grabbed the pointy bit.

Any advice for advice for a Kansas guy heading to Gaston area to try and catch his first shark and maybe get one of the kids on one as well size does not matter just want a hook up! We will be there Mid June

Great work. I tried last night but the one shark we caught got off just before being landed. Oh well at least we got to hear the drag scream. Can't wait to see the next video.

Man, That was a trophy shark! The Lil guy. That hook probably drug him face down in the sand. That's almost as crazy as hooking a snook in the ass

Just an idea, maybe bring some bolt cutters so if a big shark like that guy bits the hook, you can cut off the end and push it through

put a stick in the end of it I had the same problem with my kayak but our water in North Carolina is a lot rougher and yells water
