Catch Clean Cook: Walleye & Wipers - Dam Fishing

In this episode we're on the New Cumberland Dam with Joseph Harrick fishing for walleye, sauger and wipers, which are a hybrid of striper and white bass. The action is hot and heavy as we catch lots of fish from the concrete dam wall. It gets real crazy when we try to land them, and we have to toss the rod down 30 feet to each other while trying to keep the fish hooked! Then we head back to Joe's place to cook up some walleye, and Jamie Costa teaches us some tricks for fileting fish!

Good video as always. What about the cheek meat on the walleye? There's a quarter to silver dollar sized thick chunk of meat(depending on fish size) under their cheeks. Walleye is some of the best eating fish I've tried! Gonna thaw some from the freezer to eat today!

Were you idiots using walleye or sauger for catfish bait looked like it, there are a numbers limit I paused the video and it was walleye or sauger laws mean nothing to you so-called outdoorsman, there's no size limit so you just make bait out of them

You forgot the best part of a Walleye. Gotta get that cheek meat. Great video guys. I always used a sharp knife. I will try it Jamies way as she is the filleting master.

Don't ever apologize for using paper plates. Why? Because plates are redundant. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got dinner waiting for me on the floor.

I've come back from hikes at three in the morning and still cooked up Perch, Trout, whatever. So midnight isn't that weird of a time for me

Heads up for future. Walleye actually have a Y bone rib cage. You can get a nice nugget off of the back side of ribs on the larger ones.
