NEW FeelFree Dorado & Overdrive Pedal/Motor Drive - First Look ICAST 2017 justliketolook: I'm looking at and wanting the compare this to the Predator PDL. On it you get 12 turns of the propeller per one turn of the peddle. What is the propeller turn per one peddle on this peddle system? Which one is easier to move by peddling in the water? Can you peddle this one in reverse? When the motor is connected is there a reverse? Will you do a side by side speed test using the Predator PDL so we can see which one moves through the water faster with less energy? This one is almost 1, 000 dollars more in price between than Predator PDL. Also will you do a side by side stability test. I'm just wanting to see if this one is worth 1, 000 dollars more if I don't plan on getting a motor. In my state if you get a motor you have to get a get it registered and get a boat number then pay taxes on it every year.

They should sell a lot of them, maybe a dozen or so, I mean come on man, maybe for The extremist who had to spend as much as they can on something, but as a consumer I would turn my head at that retail, about 50% above what I would think of spending on a yak with a motor I would price that at 2900 with the motor, then its a little more realistic, Guarantee production costs are about 1600 to 1800 max per unit at a 1000 unit order, This is Just a personal opinion so I please dont get butt hurt if you read this

This thing looks amazing! I've been a Predator 13 owner for years but due to shoulder problems and upcoming surgery. I need to get away from full paddling. Was looking at getting the Predator PDL until I saw this kayak. However someone high up from a kayak company says these feel free kayaks are crap made in China.

I used an motor out of a discarded kids 12v car to drive my pedals, 20 use the foot pedal and wiring from same toy car. Glad to know I can get over a grand for it! Two days to make it work. Cog belt drive from a junk pile sweeper.

If only I had a lot of money, this would be my next kayak. Alas, it will take years before it is available in my country, meaning I would have to import it, which adds another 25% to the price, not including shipping.

I didn't know they had this show in my backyard every year. I will go next month. Did they tell you how many amps the motor draws? That way you can calculate how much time you have in a battery or even solar options.

ya i do not think that is worth the money. for the over drive. is that a strap holding the seat down. the lights have to be able to see 2 miles the hull is all most like Bonafide kayak look at both of them.

How are you supposed to transport that thing? Trailer? How heavy is it? How durable are the prop shafts, or are they removable so it will sit flat in the bed of a truck?
reply

All that money where does the angler sit if he or she will be on the water for so many hours. Better getting a kayak with a small outboard fully kitted. In my opinion.

If I knew that this was gonna cost this much, I shoulda just waited to buy the Hobie outback. Ugh. I love my lure 13. 5 but the cost for this is outrageous.
