Exposed Trees and Lake Bottom for miles makes this one of the most interesting places I have ever bass fished. Glenn Browne and I will show you how to approach a lake or river that is in a drought or draw down. Rodman Reservoir is one the top producing lakes in Florida for giant bass. The State has drawn the water down 16' feet help dry up the bottom witch has made this an awesome place to fishing if you don't tear up your boat. Jennifer: It's not a drained lake. It's a flooded river during a drawdown. It's a destroyed forest obviously, that's why the fishermen are surrounded by tree stumps that all rotted off at the same height from the flooding. Geez.

Man, this place looks like a bass fishing paradise. Being in the northeast, we don't have too many lakes that look quite like this. At least not where I live. It'd be my dream to fish a place like this. The best bass fishing I've ever experienced was when I took a trip to florida a few years ago and got to fish the stick marsh/farm 13 with a relative of mine who lives down there. Good lord was it awesome. I don't know if the conditions were just right, or the timing, or both. but we were constantly doubled up, caught multiple 5 and 6 pounders, and we even caught a tenner. 10lbs, 2 ozs. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Man glenne was an awesome guy so glad I had the privilege to know him and winning his memorial tournament fishing my first tournament ever with my dad Terry is something I will never forget. I swear he was in the boat with us that day 37. 21 with 5 fish and culled 30 times throwing back two limits big enough to still win without the 37lb 5 fish. Love to fish with ya one day Scott if you ever make it up to the st John's in palatka.

I was wading the west shore of that lake and calling a 6' male gator out on the lake using the female mating call. I did not know it but behind me on shore was a alpha male black bear, thought I was a female on a nest. Like an idiot when it growled I growled back. It's roar echoed all across that lake that day so I started yelling and it ran off. Never get in the middle of apex predators!

Glen Lau is a legend! Saw him out there on a guided trip at Rodman and he told us a funny Story about a time he and ole Roland were with Homer Circle. We gave him a 7 pounder I caught that he was going to use for filming but I guess he never got around to finishing the film or publishing it.
