There is something about the Live Target frogs fish don't like and I'm not sure what it is. I can go to my honey hole pond and throw the live target frog and get a few hits, then i can take it off and put this other frog on of the same weight, size and color and completely tare them up. I work both frogs the same exact way and i can't get a bass to hit the live target like i can this other frog i throw, after much deliberation all i can figure is the other frog i throw makes a much different sound when it hits the water than the live target does. This other frog is made of a different thickness of rubber on the bottom and it gives it more of a hollow PLOP! sound while the live target frog is more of a generic splashing sound. It may also have to do with the dimensions in which the frog is built, the other frog is just a hair shorter but much wider on the bottom. I would compare the 2 like cupping your hand and slapping the top of the water and then making a fist and doing to same motion. There is something about that PLOP! sound and the way the bait presents it self on the water being a little wider that makes all the difference where i fish. If you hold a small bull frog a few feet off the water and drop him in belly buster style they make the same PLOPING sound that this other frog does. Don't get me wrong I love the way Live Target has their hooks and the set up more than this other frog but the catch ratio with the other frog is 10/1 compaired to the live target. If they could get the sound figured out with a little wider presentation i think it would be #1 in my box.

Speaking of stolen. Recently moved and all my fishing gear was stolen. Question. Where would y'all start gearing back up? Rods/Feels?
Ideas welcome.
