most of us had a little john boat with a 25 horse evinrude when we were 16 or 17 years old, we stayed in the Cape Fear river every weekend and actually fished most of the time, set hooks or limb lines for catfish and we bream fish mornings and evenings a little bass fishing, we always caught some big catfish to cook, but I have had a J16 Carolina Sfiff with a 40 horse Yamaha tiller arm steer the last so many years, but It's just an expensive john boat really, but that's all I need.

Hi how did you get your boat to up to 10 miles an hour using a trolling motor? I would like to buy a 12 foot jon boat boat, using only a trolling motor. but i have been told it will only go around 4 miles a hour with a 55 pound thrust trolling motor. i really dont wanna buy a gas motor for more power to get to my fishing spot. i'm going to fish on a lake, i cant find any info, any advice would be appreciated. haha you guys are the best. Lazy fishin is the only way to go. We never stood up and fished cause back when I started there weren't any bass boats. We were only in Jon Boats. We'd fish 2 and 3 in a 10 foot boat. Great times. That's a Luxury Jon boat. Roland I use your FishBrain. haha Scott whining about the youhaul all the time lovin it.

Now thats really wanting to fish. Who elce but the MARTINS would rent someone truck and back it in 3ft of water to push a john boat out of the back> You have to love the adventure. Son that's fun

I know there are many locations through out the US that don't allow gasoline powered motors, but what's the deal about no trailers? The launch site/ramp obviously was built for trailers.

You should get a toy hauler modified to launch your boat. You and Brandon travel enough to justify living with your boat on the road.
