Big bass love spinnerbaits. These tips from B-Lat will help you a bunch! Wanna be part of TEAMSMC Hook_em_up_kid: Sweet video spinnerbaits became one my favorite lures to fish this yr / I mostly fish small back creeks in a pretty long river system it was chocolate milk water all may/ June but got this yrs biggest so far a 6. 5 lb largy slow rolling a solid white spinner with white rage swimmer as a trailer on a Laydown / now its that time to start spinning again thanks for the extra knowledge in the vid on spinbait fishing every little bit extra I learn could be the difference in a successful session or if I go home with a skunk or not but if u can take advice and listen to all these vids available to us u can definitely get better I've tripled my # of catches from last season and still 5-6 weeks to go so I'm grateful to these guys taking the time to help out us out in catching more fish keep em coming

Great tips B-Lat. And again, congratulations on getting your first FLW win this season! Cant wait for next season and I hope the house stays the same. The wins and places from the guys in the house were awesome! You surround yourself with good people, good things usually happen. Love seeing B-Lat and also you got to have some Billy during the tour season!

Awesome! Most people seem to like a fast tip for spinnerbaits, but I have always liked my MH/MF glass rod which has a decent amount of bend but a decent amount of backbone as well. I never felt I needed any more power to set the hook especially since I'm always either reeling or ready to reel with a spinnerbait.

B-Lat - I like keeping it simple as you explained. but what about weight choice when starting out and not having lots of different spinner baits? 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz, or 1/2 oz? Would you stay lighter with 1/4, or deeper with 1/2 or just split the difference and start with 3/8oz?

I live in Okeechobee I've been fishing before this storm hits but I've been noticing the fish keep spitting or pushing my bait away then hunkering down I can see them is that because they know their is a storm or is it me

Scott, the Martin family and all Floridian are in my thoughts as this hurricane nears the Florida coast. Be safe and I hope you guys come out on the other end as safely and with as little damage as possible.

B-lat, wats up. thanks so much for breaking down the spinner bait, I have a couple that I had no idea how to use, i jus tie them on and cast, now I see why I never caught a fish!

I may have missed this in video, but what about size? Smaller size for shallow water or does it depend on season and fish mood? Thanks for the excellent video: )
