Your first fish started the same way my pb did. I had a musky rod in a buddies truck and he wanted to go fish so I just nabbed it backed everything off tossed a buzz bait on and was going to work a spill way with it from the bank. Well first cast it back lashed all to hell and back with braid. Once I got it out I was feeling my slack in and my line was out of the spill way in open water caught and set the hook and was 1/4 away from WV length state record and was a 6 pound fish!

Gotta watch are water levels I have that app & I mostly fish for crappie knowing water flow helps & again we didn't have the best weather patterns for a big tournament either
