It seems like if they got rid of the curved side panels and just used shorter flat panels (real glass even: P) and left the front where all those slots are cut out open for air flow for the front fans, it would likely do a bit better. Then put mesh on the top, raise the height up a bit for clearance for the bottom to breath, throw in some decent fans on the back for exhaust and it might be a half decent little case with a really neat design aesthetic. Either way I really like the look of it and it looks like it would be a fun project build to make it both look awesome and function better than stock for cooling by cutting/rebuilding things a bit (which shouldn't be too hard considering most of the problem components are just plastic and even the metal isn't that solid as evidenced by the mods you guys already did to it to fit your GPU into it.

Steve if you could give me advise. MSI Tech support btw is OFF weekends! WHY? lol My roommate just bought a MSI X570 mobo for her 3700X CPU. Her first AMD CPU. She paired it with a Corsair 650X PSU. Upon hitting the power button on the front the fans all spin for a second then it powers down and you have to reset the PSU. I don't have the resources to test it like I want to and she is so haphazard abt doing things I don't have the cables from her previous PSU that as far as I know still works to test to see IF the new one is maybe bad from the factory. She literally has only had the mobo for a week. The model is the MPG X570 Gaming Edge WiFi. I personally didn't put it together but am trying to help her because every PC I have built posted on start up cause I got it like that. lol

Not a bad looking case, but mods WILL be required to make it cool effectively. I'd cut the side panels level with front grate edge removing the curved part of the side panels. Remove the plastic strip at the front of the case, wrap black mesh around the front covering the black metal part of the case. I'd raise the case by about 20mm letting the bottom fan breath properly. I'd remove the glass from the top & replace that with black mesh & flip the fan over to suck air out the top of the case. That should fix the cooling issue drastically. How about doing something too this case like what I'd do. It would be an interesting exercise in your awesome modding abilities Steve. Keep the great videos coming mate.

So here's what i have to say about this review: Stuff made in china bought from Aliexpress or directly in shengzhen usually has different variants of quality. By removing that top glass panel, you revealed that this case might have an alternate form with a mesh top. There is probably a more expensive version with more usb headers which might include 3/3. 1. Obviously the plastic panels are the biggest downgrade for this case from their expensive variant. However, overall this case just seems to be kind of bad thermally and spaciously. In future trips to China, try to make sure you ask about quality typing. most 3c (electronic shops) will know them. (A++, A+, A, etc)

Could you not at least used a dremel and some sanding paper to make the gpu fit. This looks like a Linus tech tips job, i expect better from you guys. But shit with a little cutter, like caned food quality steal. I needed about 30 heavy duty dremel blades to cut my Cooler master Haf-x sides panel open, they use 1. 5 to 2 mm thick steal, its why i still have it. And still modding it cut around a kilo of steal out to fit radiators. Case with parts is still 29. 7 kilo so i am not taking it to a lan any time soon. I like that shape of case and it has some cool modding potential, my worry would be that it may collapse if i cut the insides up.

A really easy change they could make is mesh in the roof instead of glass, then for the side panels you can even stick to acrylic if you really wanted to, but affix it to a metal frame that extends out past the acrylic/glass and curves around the front with a curved mesh section on each panel to wrap around that front corner. Or, they could also make the mesh in that front corner clip to the case independently of the side panels, and shorten the side panels to accommodate. You're right, this design does have some untapped potential, and kinda makes me want to grab one for a mod project.

Oh, so you bought the Chinese Coolermaster H500P? Nice! Good to see Steve's instant case dissolving powers back in action again! Also, this is the ugliest PC-case I've ever seen! But it's Cool-man, 'cause with the side panels on and the system turned off, it reminds me more of some over-engineered, pseudo-practical plastic-bomber household appliance that lazy yuppies with more money than brains would buy. Like that weird plaster bucket with a twisting mechanism which automatically wrings the specifically designed mop, when placed in the bucket (don't know the name or manufacturer.

This could be an interesting niche for a space saving mATX case that fits into a corner. allowing additional improvements for airflow, accessibility, and cable management. The main sacrifice is aesthetics as the cables will be facing the end user instead of hiding in the back - but, frankly, I think having cables in front is a feature for ease of service & upgrades. Also, this focus on aesthetics and cheap RGB LED is B. S. that needs to be dropped like a bad habit.

It probably wouldn't be too hard to make that good. - Replace top glass with mesh - Use standard tempered glass for side panels with a front mesh pillar doing the curve and feeding the fans - Redesign the rear of the motherboard tray for better cable management - Screw in the panels - Put taller feet on the bottom - Make the case 5% longer, and maybe 3% wider - Include standoffs and RGB>mobo cable

It seems so many cases - even higher end ones, skimp on airflow. Like what is even the point of that fan on top if there's no hole for it, and it's blowing the wrong way! Those are simple things they could have easily gotten right. This case would be fun to make a reverse sleeper build though. Go all out with the RGB and stuff, and put in a Pentium 2. lol.
