Bitcoin was created to be decentralized, to be money that no one can control and it did it. It succeeded. We don't have many people using it because not that many know how to use computers securely and that's a must if your money are digital and stored on your system. Every other crypto was created to make the creators rich, is controlled by a small team of people currently with the promise of being like bitcoin someday, no one knows when though. They are all only used for speculation and the saddest part - everything that they offer can be done on Bitcoin with sidechains, which means you can have every functionality you want without sacrificing on security but people still buy and sell them. They are the fake Adidas and Rolex in the crypto world, trying to steal market from Bitcoin and relying on aggressive advertising and unqualified investors. Every year hundreds of projects exit-scam and hundreds of new ones get started and the scammed people leave but new people, that don't understand the goal of Bitcoin and the reason why this was all created, they get misled into buying these scams and some of them will probably buy Atari Token as well. We can only fight this by educating. WhatBitcoinDid is a nice podcast that did Bitcoin for Beginners series this year. You can learn all the basics in 16 shows and it's quite fun to listen as sell. :)

I do wonder how much longer off chip memory has in the laptop and desktop segment. Surely the ultimate aim is a desktop APU with 32GB HBM3 stacked system memory. I know this sounds crazy but that would be your CPU (16 Zen 4 Cores on 5nm = 800, your GPU (120CU RDNA 3. 0 on 5nm) 1200) and your replace your system RAM ( 300) = 2300, would that APU cost that much more than that? With 5nm densities and efficiencies plus Zen 4 power efficiencies plus RDNA 3. 0 being 50% more power efficient than RDNA 2. 0 which is 50% more efficient than RDNA 1. 0, I think this is all doable and saleable too, so you could have half those specs for half the price. I'm not saying this fits for all usage cases but I bet it would for a lot of gamers, workstations, programming, high-res professional image editing, 3D rendering, etc. Maybe 5nm for all this is optimistic and we need to wait for 3nm but I would say this is where we are heading.

Atari is like the drug addicted relative we all have. You know they're better than what they're doing and have been doing for a while now. They've pretty much burned all their good will from your beloved memories of them and love for them. They cannot be trusted in any way on your house and everyone keeps an eye on them at family functions. They always have some scam they're proposing to you or telling you about that makes zero sense outside of their drug-addled mind. You've tried to help them but they lash out every time you do so now you just let them spiral. Everyone is sad, nobody likes it. It's just awful and you dare not admit it openly but everyone just kinda wonders if they and everyone would be better off if they died or disappeared. It's that bad, that grim and that much of a departure from the person you knew growing up. That's Atari in 2020. Utterly lost.

Great news, looking forward to skipping most of the soon to be short-lived DDR5 era and using these ESL references in today's class. I'm surprised by Atari's massive balls. I'll give them credit for calling a spade a spade but wow, what balls. I'm almost tempted to buy in from this alone. Sure we all know these are just more digital illusions of real wealth and we've seen that time and time again as the world burns but outside of VR, AAA PC titles, PS4, the Switch, emulated mobile games, retro NDS/PS2/Dreamcast titles, Xbox and anything that keeps a wrench in my hands, we have everything at our disposal during a seemingly infinite worldwide quarantine. Do we really have anything better to do? Do we really? League isn't something better. I'm glad the era of Lily Pichu ads constantly squawking at me is done.

I have 3900x and it is great CPU but I am not finding anything being worth over my previous 8/16 i7 7820x 4. 7Ghz. Simply put those extra 4 cores are for nothing and I use Android Studio, Visual Studio, Office, Games. AMD shows no improvements and also I convert movies and it turns out Extra cores are useless there as well since work is done by GPU. In reality extra cores do not translate into anything these days, probably there is some specific scenario which is not part of my daily work and gaming. It seems I lost more because I lost AVX512, vt-d and i7 is still slightly faster in gaming and every frame counts. If you are into new computer get this 10 core Intel CPU, you will have more benefits from it.

Hey Gamers Nexus - Steve, what do you think about prices in this pandemic crysis, do you think they can get even higher ( specifically I mean graphic cards ) or everything might get back to normal state in like a month or two? I am in a huge hole XD right now, in January i started to build my new PC, I have collected eveyrthing just before this pandemia, everything except GPU: /. I need new PC, I can't wait for another generations GPUs, but i don't know if I should wait like a month ( when prices maybe gets lower ) or do it right now, because they can get even worse and higher. I would really appreciate your opinion, and of course others, who is in this business for longer time: . Stay healthy!

For those who want to know why Intel's Z490 does not support PCE-E 4. 0: The reason for not supporting PCI-E 4. 0 is presence of Jitter (Abrupt and unwanted variations of one or more signal characteristics) in the Z490 chipset signal, that causes instability in the data signal and that means that specifications required for the PCI-Express 4. 0 certification are simply not met. PCI-E 4. 0 is working at very high frequencies, and that requires that the signal be completely clean. Several manufacturers added external clock generators to eliminate this Jitter, however not everyone did, so Intel made the decision to not support PCI-E 4. 0 on this new platform.

To everybody paralysed in their upgrade decisions because something new is around the corner. Don't hold back and don't wait for the thing just around the corner. There's always something new just around the corner. Never be a victim to the upgrade treadmill. Build the system that meets your needs with whatever is available today. Don't be slave to the upgrade treadmill. My PC is a very 8-10 year old quad-core i5. It has 16GB DDR3 RAM, SATA 3 HDDs and SSDs and an Nvidia 1080. It will still run every single piece of software available today.

You can trust what I'm about to say because I was born in 70 No matter how we've been conditioned to believe we are gamers, it's a falsehood, we are simulation enthusiasts. You can easily check to see if you're actually a simulation enthusiast by how much you complain when the eye candy is missing. lol Now if you've just realized you're a simulation enthusiast, what you want is about to be offered at around 1000. 00 on release of RDNA 2

RAM doesn't really matter - you should buy new PC if you need new PC. In most cases you'll be fine with DDR3 PC now (with something like i7-4790K, I have working PC with DDR2 memory in my house - it's perfectly fine for internet browsing and light gaming ( Overwatch, WOT, League of Legends, CS: GO and some older AAA games. If you get decent DDR4 kit now it may be possible to skip whole DDR5 generation (OFC everything depend on CPU advancement in these years.
