We're going through the best graphics cards of 2019, one GPU at a time, to help with PC builds before the end of the year. AMD & NVIDIA had a lot in store. Sponsor: Buy Be Quiet! 's Dark Rock Slim on Amazon Referring to a year's worth of benchmarks, we'll be talking about the best video cards / GPUs of 2019, with categories like Best Overall, Most Well-Rounded, Best Enthusiast Card, Best Budget, and more. AMD really came out swinging this year, finally, but is still lacking cards in half the price classes. Even still, the RX 5700 XT and non-XT cards are competitive with NVIDIA. Meanwhile, NVIDIA has refreshed its lineup to push its offerings from low-end to high-end. With #BlackFriday here, and #CyberMonday next, it's clearly peak consumerism season. As a reminder, we'd ask that you don't get caught-up in discounts and try to instead buy only what's actually wanted or needed. Practice responsible buying and don't generate more e-waste if it's not a product you really want. Watch our Best RX 5700 XT partner card break-down here: GPUs FEATURED (in order of appearance) BEST OVERALL AMD RX 5700 XT (Sapphire Pulse on Amazon): MOST WELL-ROUNDED NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super (Gigabyte Windforce on Amazon): BEST ENTHUSIAST CARD AMD RX 5700 (Powercolor Red Dragon on Amazon): HONORABLE MENTION: EVGA RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN (Amazon): BEST MID-RANGE NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super (MSI Ventus on Amazon): BEST BUDGET NVIDIA GTX 1650 Super (MSI Ventus on Amazon): HONORABLE MENTION: If you can wait, AMD has an RX 5500 and allegedly an RX 5300 coming out toward end of year, but we're not sure on expected availability WORST TREND: Video card naming & pointless product segmentation! We have a new GN store:

Hello! I made a new PC, x470 motherboard with a Ryzen 2600x CPU. The GPU i have on it is my old, a Gybabite 1050Ti. I want to upgrade my GPU since i noticed i get stuttering images in newer games. MY budget for a new GPU is limited to 350-400 USD, i'm from eastern Europe so we don't have Amazon or similar prices to the ones in the U. S. or western Europe so i'll list the GPU's that seem interesting to me from a performance and cost status with the prices we have here. 1. MSI GeForce 1660 Super, 6GB, GDDR6, 192 bit - Price: 350 USD 2. MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus XS 6G OC, 6GB, GDDR6, 192 bit - Price: 400 USD 3. ASROCK Phantom Gaming X AMD Radeon RX 590 OC 8GB GDDR5 - Pice: 260 USD 4. Sapphire PULSE RADEON RX 5500 XT, 8GB, GDDR6, 128-bit - Price: 274 USD 5. Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 5500 XT, 8GB, GDDR6, 128-bit - Price: 284 Thank you for your input and i welcome other suggestions!

Well gtx 1660 series is not so awkward as ppl think! A real engineer is not only about performance. eventually when you hit the mark, it is about efficiency! money and performance is the key! nvdia knows that! many ppl think new builds are exciting, but don't forget the owners of a 3yr old build. that only needs to upgrade a gpu! that needs to stay with same TDP, no need to change psu! basically just a upgrade without losing performance compared to 3 yrs ago, running software of that time and running software now my take is a gtx 1660 ti is for ppl that wants high performance, and replacing the gtx 960. gtx 1660 for ppl that wants low budget, replacing gtx 960 gtx 1660 super for those that wants gtx 1660ti stock performance for gtx 1660 price, also for those replacing gtx 960!

Steve, why are we seeing so much variance in card positioning between the graphs? Obviously there will be some variance between games but the Radeon VII is a good example. At 6: 34 the Radeon VII is performing between the RTX 2060 Super and the 5700XT at 1080p, then at 8: 15 it's shown between the RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti at 4k. There is a change in resolution between graphs, but we continue to see this throughout the video while remaining at 1080p. At 12: 29 & 16: 00 it falls back in line between the RTX 2060 Super and 2070 Super. 32 seconds later its a little higher, between RTX 2070 and 2080. Then at 16: 57 we see the Radeon VII positioned between RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti, at 1080p! How have we gone from sub 5700XT performance to nearly matching the 2080 Ti?

I have an xbox one s, and recently in every game. Offline and online. Ive been experiencing some problems, i dont know what they are. Maybe just plain lag? Idk but when im in a game when i walk. The game will stop for like a millisecond. Ill then be teleported in the direction i was walking except its a little too far forward. And this happens a lot. I dont know if its an old graphics card. Or what. And its instantaneous when it happens like every 15 seconds or so. So if im playing titanfall 2 for example. Ill be running towards a corner almost there. And suddenly ill be teleported past the corner. And i have no idea what it is. So if you who reads this could give me an idea of what this problem is and how to fix it. Id be grateful.

I'm new to PC gaming. I bought a prebuilt system. My graphics card Is the GeForce GTX 1660ti? I have 32GB of G ddr4 memory. Believer i7 9700 series if I'm saying that correctly. I'm looking to game. And I settings to ultra if I could at 1080p. At about 120 frames per second. So am I good with this card for a while? I'm finding I like. For the PC gaming performance and would like to dive a little deeper into getting a little bit of visual at that hundred twenty frame mark. Not gaming on a gaming monitor the gaming on 4K TV that has 9 millisecond. Input lag up 120 frames So, like I said, I'm just new to this and learning. Am I good for a while with that setup or should I increase my power supply and get a better GPU?

So I'm trying to figure out if I should go for a 1660 Super or an RX 5700 for a PC I'm building around next spring. The 1660 Super is attractive because the highest resolution monitor I have right now is 1080p and doesn't support high refresh rate. However, I'd like to make this PC last for 5-7 years if possible and I may purchase a 1440p monitor in the future as part of upgrading or replacing existing aging monitors - which might need something a bit more powerful. I know the 2060 and 2060 Super exist, but they seem weak for the money compared to the 1660 Super and the RX 5700.

Seriously thinking about the 1650super for an old rig. I notice in some of the benchmarks that the 1650super seems to be easily held back by older processors. I'd be very interested in learning whether or not I'm going to get the proper bang for my buck if I upgrade. I've got an old i7-2600 system. Just where should my money be going? Is a 1650super just going to sit there idle waiting for the processor? Would love to see a video discussing the merits of using new GPUs with old CPUs.

How can he spend 3x longer talking about the 2070 Super after giving the OVERALL WINNER award to the 5700 XT? Also I was praying he wouldn't mention RTX, but he did. Nvidia promise 100+ games by now either ready or almost ready supporting RTX, we have FOUR. With just a handful in the pipeline. So why mention it? Sorry long hair dude, but you're supposed to wax on the WINNER not the RUNNER UP. And don't mention RTX. Please. It's embarassing for you to mention that.

See, as someone who is trying to leave consoles behind for PC gaming, this is very terrifying. I just camr from buying an entire console with everything needed for about 400 dollars. Now I just want one component (warranted: probably the most expensive one) for 500 to over a grand for the same performance. Not very appealing. Even still. I eould like to switch soon because I've been needing a real computer for quite some time now.
