Simple reason AMD Ryzen has gained marketshare and Intel has lost some: Intel CPU's are having inventory problems. I've been wanting an X series chip for the last 3 weeks, but nobody has it at least for a good price. Intel has also been in the news at least in the past year for having supply issues from China due to U. S. tariffs, enacted by Trump. If you don't believe me, do a Google search for Intel supply issues, and you'll find articles talking about it. One article in particular mentions it in relations to recent tariffs but does NOT mention Trump. For the record, it is ME who is reading between the lines. In any case, I'm curious to know if anyone else wanting to buy Intel CPU's are experiencing frustration over no one having enough in stock. And thank you for the tech news.

AMD's new chips just represent phenominal value 1219AUD for 16 cores vs 1799AUD for the 10980xe 18 core not to mention the cost of the Omega board 1150AUD vs 599 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, it actually leaves me room in my budget for other stuff like 64gb of Ram and extra drives if I wish. Plus I don't use watercoolers I use Air which will not cool that 10980xe furnace hell my DRP4 won't cool my 8700k at 5. 0ghz but the 3950x will be fine with a Noctua NH-U12A, waiting for the Chromax version! I would be interested in testing the 3700x 3900x and 3950x on a 4k 144hz monitor at lowest settings with a 2080Ti because I play at medium settings in FPS Games like MW BF1 BF3 BF4 WW2 PubG. I would like to see these results for us FPS Gamers. Great video as always GN Team: )

Since you got this rare obscure smearing story on a Republican, and stepped into political realm. Maybe you can report about all the massive abuses of power being done on the democrat side. Really this is what you got to smear the right? How about Adam Schiff, Nancy pelosi, Jerry Nadler, being insane and hate driven? This means you are taking a political side, not just reporting on political stories. I under stand that its steam oriented. But it does show a political leaning being as youve never reported on politics before. Not that I am aware. Being on the left, is being on the side of liars, power abusers, and the by any means necessary illegal uses of power lovers. Its sad to see. This is one of the sites I go to get away from political atmosphere.

processors companies need to move away from old photoprinted circuit logic that requires transistors still. intel, MICROSOFT and google gonna change the landscape next year tech with transistor-less processors utilize quantum qubits. right now AMD got hit by brick wall and final stop. no more shrinking and no more room for transistor for cooling anymore. MOORE LAW WINS AGAIN. JUST LIKE HE PREDICTED. INTEL GONNA MOVE AHEAD MAKE LAST PHOTO-PRINTED CPU'S 10NM AND 7NM TILL 2022 BE FINAL YEAR FOR OLD TRANSISTORS TECH TO RIP FOR BOTH COMPANIES. WHEN INTEL INTRODUCE QUBITS WILL REPLACE ALL TRANSISTORS WITH MINIATURE QUBITS CAN PROCESS BITS IN LARGE POOL OF DATE VERSUS TRANSISTOR BASE CPU'S REQUIRES MORE POWER

on investing CPU money into RTG Steve, didn't AMD separate those internally and isn't there some STOCK issues related to transferring money around? I'm not sure how that works. I just vaguely remember something about that. I also remember Intel investors being pissed off when Intel merged MOBILE and DESKTOP results to hide the massive mobile losses. and for that matter, I remember when Microsoft had a shareholders meeting where someone asked If Microsoft is making great profits why are stock prices DOWN? and Microsoft explained that profits don't equal stock value (I guess due to reinvesting and other reasons. Yikes!

9: 40 It'd be interesting to see the difference between let's say 60 - 144 and 144 - 240 as a comparison (as most commentors I've heard has said that 60-120 is the most noticeable and then it drops. E. G. Depending on how they're counting I'm guessing you could probably have three of those four times slower in the 60-120/144 range or about half of these four x as slow isn't really as important (at least now, there might be a lot more people noticing (as in really noticing and caring about) the difference between 144-240 were 144 to be the new standard speed (not that I think many would.

Completely off topics and random But do you think that companies like Ubisoft have a way to try updates before they're released enmasse in xboxlive or ps network Second if they do, are those consoles even connected to Xbox live or ps netwprk or are they like a console version lan party And lastly can someone with faster speeds and better internet connection download said update faster than anyone else and be playing the newest content first Like with division 2 for instance they regularly shut servers down for 2 3 and 4 hrs can someone with faster speeds be back up playing before me?

honestly, with just the 5700 AMD has earned back a lot of market share once they get the drivers right it's going to the best card you can get at 400 dollars. even right now excluding the used market no card is better I just got one yesterday after returning my 2060 super and I'm very happy with my decision. although I few times yesterday my screen went black for a minute but after replugging the HDMI it was fine. I think slowly in we are going to see a lot of SI's adopt the 5700 xt in mid-range and after they do that AMD can focus on creating a new chipset to tackle the 2080ti

pretty much everything is good news for AMD. DELL should be selling PC's with a choice of AMD or intel. the AMD ryzen is an incredibly well designed chip. depriving AMD of the sales which turns into R&D has historically made it much more difficult for them, which I think is what resulted in products like the unimpressive bulldozer FX series. DR lisa Su is an incredible CEO and has brought this company back from doom and gloom. she's an electronics engineer and MIT graduate. she needs to stay at AMD. intel is just ran by an MBA that has no real electronics backround.

I literally don't understand why TDP is so hard to figure out. Electricity goes into the CPU, there is no work done, so heat comes out. Every watt of electricity in, is a watt of heat out. If the CPU is using 100W of electricity, the unless that energy is being stored as potential energy in the lattice of silicon crystal, it is leaving again as heat. 100W of heat. The TDP is 100W. Remove less than 100W of heat, it'll heat up. Remove more than 100W of heat, it'll cool down. DONE.
