We'll also be covering a full set of dystopian stories for maximum entertainment, like a secret mining operation, counterfeit HDMI cables, and more.

Here's a fun bit of doom news for you all- What happens when those 4090Ds are no longer current, and the miners and AI banks liquidate the whole mess on Ebay cheap. It's an incoming consumer nightmare. Thanks nVidia. We'll have BIOS-tweaked ones that claim to be 4090s, and only benchmarks would show the truth. We'll have ones as blatant as scratching off the D on the name. As for the performance cost, from my experience with a Ryzen 7 through an EGPU (also 4 lanes) I lost about 10-20% of the performance, depending on the use. I would guess this would be about the same cost to do this, as it's also a 4 lane deal. I agree it's weird, but it's ingenius from ASUS.

You know what I wish GPU manufacturers did still? Secondary PCIe cards. Imagine having a stripped down 4060ti or 7600 XT and a secondary add in PCIe card to handle DLSS/Raytracing, etc. Also dual GPU cards like the GTX 690. I may forever be in a small minority but Crossfire and SLI will always be the most aesthetically satisfying thing. I remember the feeling of getting and adding another 580 and then another as the price came down until you have quad SLI 580s and can push nearly 100 FPS in Aliens vs Predator with 16x AA 2560x1600. 2013 was special.

BG3 has been great. Been playing since BG1 and where I wasn't exactly keen on Larians signature mechanics, I have grown to be ok with it as BG3 is actually very very good. I would not be surprised if it becomes GOTY for 2023 & 2024. Larian has garnered the public support, so they better keep up the pace to maintain this level of work, we need a savior to show other studios how to treat your products (read consumers)

I think NAC means Not Allowed for Compute . At least that what the AI overlords tell me.
NAC in the context of non-datacenter eligible chips typically stands for Not Allowed for Compute. This designation is often used in the semiconductor industry and related sectors, especially in the context of agreements or regulations governing the use of certain types of computer chips.

I snagged an asrock phantom on Black Friday for a solid deal and have been blown away I really wanted a 4090 and my brain was made up that the 7900xtx would be horrible it s destroying everything I m throwing at it at 4k minus cyberpunk but as a BG3, Diablo 4, and original Sid Meier Colonization player it s been a killer card for a TCL 75r648 display (up to 8k 60hz).

I would be lowkey interested seeing the scam cards tested and doing a deep dive what the actual chipset and modules are to know what the actual GPU is, i know back then when the GTX 1050 TI Scams were rampant the scammers used old GTS/GTX 400 series cards for the vast majority of these cards. So it would be interesting to see if it's the same ol' scam essentially

That M.2 on a GPU thing is interesting. At the moment I have an ITX PC with a bifurcation card that I use for a GPU and capture card. But that setup means one PCIe device is always limited to low profile, which in my case is the GPU (thank you Gigabyte for releasing a low profile 4060). A more powerful 2-slot GPU with an M.2 slot would be cool to see.

I got a 7900xtx for my new build and its been fantastic. the performance and stability on Linux is really good compared to the 1070 I had before, and now I don't have to deal with screen tearing and shitty drivers. windows is pretty good too, but the windows installer didn't have network drivers for my motherboard so that was pretty annoying.

The guy behind the USB stick scam being a Moscovite was the least surprising thing ever. And honestly, with it being a Moscovite scam I'd give even odds that it's really just about the 20, and they're not even doing anything with the data or the obvious Trojan opportunity that both could easily be far more lucrative.

I was surprised and flabbergasted (or bloated ) when I saw the 7900xt and xtx for around 400. I messaged the seller asking if the gpu is new unopened box. That s when they removed the listing within the hour. Also they had one star with the customer saying never received the product .

GamersNexus - regarding mining in polish court it is worth to mention that this was also a security risk. Additionally the court was not random it was NSA - highest administration court. There were many unanswered questions - like nobody noticed higher electricity bills.

18:37 I want one of these 2-slot 4090's, if they were available. The crappy oversized 4-slot behemoths don't even fit in my case. It's sad that Nvidia killed off all 2-slot coolers, for the sole reason to not have these gaming cards eat into Quadro profit margins.

So another thing to note, make sure you double check the price of items. I found listings sold and shipped by newegg for an evga z20 keyboard that was marked up 4x the price on the Canadian side of the website. Never got a response from newegg on that one.

At least no one appears to be offering to sell you the ability to plug you in and use your bodies natural electrical generation as a means of power generation while connecting you to an A.I. driven virtual world which will preserve you forever.

Eternal life usb is actually a good idea and i think in the near future something like that would come to market and not be a scam. Like imagine your grandkids talking to your ai avatar telling your memories. Black mirror type stuff...

I just bought a MSI 4070 slim that was 10 MORE than the MsI 4070 TI slim I was looking at.... I was so PISSED at myself. Working on the refund now. I inky bought it because it would get to the house quicker

I would really like to know GN thoughts or see a video on the game The Day Before and a look at what it was advertised as and what the released product was. Smells scammy to me so I hope you guys look into it.

If the price is too good to be true, I mean, just go for it, what else were you going to tie that money up with. Rent? Groceries? You could get a 7800XT for only 250 man! It's a nonzero chance it works out!

It looks like Nvidia has halted sales of the RTX 4090 graphics card in China to comply with a US export ban blocking AI chip sales to the country.
Wow lol, i did not know that. Since nov 23 2023 I guess

BG3 is awesome. A couple of minor drawbacks of playing BG3 are the rest of my Steam library looks a bit more boring. Likewise other new games that I might buy look a little less enticing.
