I have a dock and a case by JSAUX for my Steam Deck. I wish I knew about the one with the M.2 drive. If you order, I suggest you go with AMAZON and NOT through the company's website:
1. When paying for my purchase, I WAS ASKED FOR A TIP!!! BY A HARDWARE MANUFACTURER! You don't tip a manufacturer, EVER!
2. It'll ship from China. Expect weeks of a lack of shipping information from when the shipping label was printed to when USPS/FedEx/UPS actually get the package. This is because it'll be on a slow boat from China for that.
3. It took them a long time to get the shipment out the door. Like two to three weeks.
I have the HB0603 dock and the BG0102 carrying case. Haven't gotten around to using the dock, so I can't really tell you how well it works. (I need to use it soon, so I can put Minecraft and Curseforge launcher on it.) I do use the case almost exclusively over the one that comes with the Steam Deck. I love how it has mesh pockets to store small things (like extra MicroSD cards) and the storage compartment is INDISIDE THE FRICKIN' CASE! (I want to know who at Valve thought having the spot to store the wall wart and cable ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRICKIN' CASE was a good idea. That person needs a daily atomic wedgie.) My only complaint is that , while roomy, the storage box in the case isn't large enough to store both the HB0603 dock and the wall wart supplied by Valve. You could store a USB type C port extender for laptops with the Valve wall wart, and there might be other transformers that will fit in the case with the dock. Sucks that you have to chose and spend more.

Those AM5 motherboard prices are super painful. Like, we knew AM5 would be more expensive than AM4, but that is absolutely insane. If AMD isn't careful, Intel is going to become the winner in the value department. For as many advances as AMD has gained over the past few years, Intel has also been hitting back strong lately. Since both are hitting strong with performance, they need to compete on price.
For even the past year with 12th gen out, the price of LGA 1700 mobos has kept the value proposition of AMD strong in comparison with AM4 being so affordable, but now with these prices? almost 300 for a stripped down version of your high end chipset? What are the non-stripped down B650s gonna look like?
edit: realized the price was higher than I thought.

I hate RGB with a passion! RGB on every PC component was the biggest mistake in the last decade. People who wanted to light up their PC, had options, and don't hate them. But I despise and hate that every fscking component, like MoBos, GPUs,... periphery, like Mice, Keyboards, Headphones, Printers,... they all have their own controlling software, and if you want to control them all, you need 10+ different utilities. And those utilities can be memory hogs, pinging CPU so that it never goes to deep sleep, to outright causing stuttering while playing. And if you want to uninstall, they leave crap behind, sometimes windows services, that you don't notice.

With the increasing need for higher wattage power supplies the Techtubers need to highlight that these units have 15A (IEC C20) sockets and the consequences of that. What 240v countries don't realise is that they will ALSO get C20 connectors which, even though they'll be drawing around 5A, will mean that legally (in some countries) they need a 15A wall socket. Manufacturers need to be called out as there is no reason for this in 240v regions, and that they should be producing FIXED input voltage supplies with standard C13 connectors so consumers don't either need to break the law, or have expensive rewiring done.

Got a steam deck and the first thing I did was buy the 3 USB-A port version of the JSAUX dock, followed by upgrading my internal storage to a 1TB drive. The newer dock looks too bulky, unnecessary, and expensive for the loss of a USB-A port and addition of M.2 2280. If I wanted to expand my attached/portable storage then MicroSD was the plan. I'd be interested to learn if you can have a windows file system (and steam library) on the 2280 and use that library on the steam deck -- or if you'd have to format the 2280. Great reporting as always.

To think that there was a day when we only had to worry about the length of a graphics card when it came to fitting into a case. Now we need a minimum of a full ATX case to have enough height for the thickness of the graphics card. On a positive note, it's the wattage draw and thickness of the graphics cards that are dominating the news lately, instead of the outrageous scalper prices.

Well, if mobos for new Ryzens are really going to be crazy expensive, then I'm gonna buy previous gen Ryzen on DDR4. Sure, M4 socket is dead, but that does not mean I could not build new rig based on M4 Ryzen that would comfortably last me for 5-6 years. And I assume prices will go further down once new Ryzens are out. So it might be a win for budget conscious gamers.

I find a lot of the news that people get outraged over for the Zen 4 motherboards odd as all of this has been a way of life on Z690 DDR5. The boat times at start are long, motherboards are expensive, DDR5 can be flaky and so on. If anything, AMD has a year of lessons learned and are trying to get in front of it like having boot warning stickers.

I wish you had any clue about what you're explaining. Seriously, do you let a 5 year old write your scripts and do your cue cards for you?
BTW, since you clearly are biased and all, there was an X570 Godlike board.....but I guess doing research and actually making 'news' that isn't just clickbait really isn't your forte....

Imagine getting upset about a motherboard that WARNS you about a slow INITIAL boot. Oh no.. you'll spend longer flashing the bios than you would just letting it boot. What is wrong with people? Also, the few thousand people who but God likes for 1,400... Donate your money to cat angels instead of throwing it away.

charging 2000 for a graphics card and then releasing another one the next year tells me the price tag is not justified. the technology is either jumping so much fast that the original msrp should be lower or the price is justified based on time to develop new technology. same thing with phones

I own and heavily use my steamdeck daily but the dock just... isn't great. I actually use mine docked every night but I don't need this m.2, especially not at that price. The deck does so well with the SD card, I imagine it'd do very well with any crappy usb-c drive on a regular dock.

No. The 13900's do NOT have 24 cores. Stop making that incorrect statement. Its 8 cores. ONLY 8 cores. Those 16 Ecores are NOT equal to a standard core. At BEST you could say they're equal to an extra 2-4 cores IF you combined them and if they even worked that way .. which they dont.
