tl; dr please no more mesh fronted RGB fan cases! In the future I'd be much more interested to know how the cases perform in their optimal configurations with added fans. I know that would be a lot of work but who amoung us is drawing the line at 25 fans? Those cases (the MSI) are a little too gamer looking for me regardless of how they perform. I know airflow is something to consider but I really hope that everyone doesn't start making different versions of the Coolermaster H500X. Seems like anyone could put a mesh panel on the front of an existing case and maybe add some cheaper rgb fans to help it sell. I had one of those for awhile and it performed well but it also allowed any piece of dust from a 3 room radius into the case. Of course they will allow airflow because they're basically open. There must be a line somewhere between just building on a test bench and actually offering some protection. Thermal and aerodynamics are real sciences and yet here we are in 2020 trying to resolve them both by trading glass for mesh. There must be something else that works lest all our cases will have mesh front panels, 2 x 200mm or 3 x 140mm rgb fans and generally look like they were all designed by 12 year old Fortnite addicts. As much as I can't stand seeing countless NZXT case builds on Reddit at least they're a bit more subtle in taste. I'm more impressed by a design like NZXT, Be Quiet and Lian Li have done that can be top preformers but still balanced elsewhere than the crude mesh fronted RGB bro case that's starting to flood the market. Corsair, thermaltake, and of course Coolermaster have all revived the dubstep of Skrillex in physical form in some of their latest offerings. We get so wrapped up in test results that we forget what we're testing for. What does a few degrees really mean? What does it change?

The problem with mesh replacement panels is they fix thermal problems at the expense of looks instead of designing it properly with glass/closed front panels intact. This could be achieved by not using the front for air inlet but use the bottom and place the PSU at the front so the PSU shroud wouldn't be in the way, or leaving more space between the front panel and the fan and have well vented side intakes and provide good pressure optimized fans with the case as standard, or mount the fans to the other side of the motherboard like in the Lian-Li 011 Dynamic. I really don't like the looks of mesh front panels so this really feels like such a half assed fix.

Every time I see a PSU shroud and it's closed off, I cringe. I dislike those shrouds to begin with, they neutered the GPU cooling compared to older design cases without shrouds and made the bottom mounted fan in 90% of cases redundand because it blows into nothing. all for the sole benefit of hiding your lazy cable management. Very few cases are blessed with enough perforations on the shroud to actually allow some air to reach the GPU and MSI didn't think of that, it seems.

I keep wanting to either update or replace my rig, but I simply can't settle on hardware anymore. Either the prices are insane, the quality and/or design is sub-par, the hardware doesn't perform as well as advertised, or there's a plethora of defects. I've been patient redesigning the build year after year with the goal of building a Star Citizen centric machine, but it seems like the game has a better chance of being released than quality hardware.

Here s an idea, instead of getting rid of the glass panel on the 110r, leave it, and change the other solid steel side to mesh. You get the best of both worlds, the clarity of glass from the side you ll most likely see, and a mesh for airflow on the opposite side that for most ppl will be facing away from them. The top and bottom that are currently vented could be made solid to improve structural rigidity

I'd like to see case manufactures take a cue from Lenovo, HP, Dell, Apple and provide proper heat isolation and ducting instead of just creating fancier glass insulated heat boxes. I love some of the engineering that goes into slim cases but, I want the same type of thoughtfulness with a larger case that can hold 5 old school hardrives and a hot video card with room to play.

Hi. Sorry for off topic, but. if you're so close to MSI, please, pealse, pleeease ask them when (if they resume production at all) they will be producing their Torx fan RGB again? They were great, and now i can't buy them anywhere - even from the secondary market. I want to build a second computer only with MSI hardware, but their current fans will not suit IMHO. Big thanks.

MSI making a great videocards, but 85% of their mobos, are crap. And this continues since 2010-2011. For example, from 2009, i was having four Asrock mobos(G43 Twins Full HD > Z77 Pro4 > Z97 Extreme6 > X570m Pro4. Not very popular brand, but I haven't a single problem with any. And all of them works perfectly. And im pretty sure, my next mobo will be from Asrock.

i want to see a gamers nexus brand pc case! like with built in quad rads mounted in the front and on top! and a water-block that covers the back side of the motherboard as a distro plate/res! with all sides tempered glass like the view 71 except with a 6 inch shroud on the bottem of the back side just for wires. that would be my dream case!

are pc parts about to go higher prices in next few months due to human malware? in my country motherboards are already 10-20 euro higher price for just 3 months. Really curious if should wait or buy now on even high price, but they overpriced af atm. But u can always expect to be even worse who knows.
