EK AIO D-RGB Cooler Review vs. Arctic Liquid Freezer II: Fight for Best Cooler

EK AIO D-RGB Cooler Review vs. Arctic Liquid Freezer II: Fight for Best Cooler

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
The EK AIO D-RGB 360 & 240 closed-loop liquid coolers are on the bench for review today. In this testing, we're looking at some of the best air and water coolers for AMD Ryzen and Intel high-heat CPUs, with a focus on the high-end. Big air coolers like the Noctua NH-D15 are present, but so are top performers like the Arctic Liquid Freezer II CPU & VRM cooler. The EK AIO D-RGB tear-down is coming up shortly, but we do show its key internal features here: The EK AIO runs larger surface area microfins, a bigger coldplate, and a massive motor to drive everything. Performance, therefore, is highly competitive -- check our charts for more information. We also tested coldplate levelness and looked into EK's marketing claims.

Steve, one thing about the Liquid Freezer, on top of being hardly available is the awful finish of the tubes.
Maybe it's a video / picture thing, but the more I looked it up the less I wanted this part.
I know it has nothing to do with the performance, but still couldn't resolve myself to put something that looked so clunky in my case.
I'm happy the purchase of my EK 360 doesn't seem to be a bad move. It's more expensive but it looks decent and it's not the price of a NZXT (lol). The only problem is my order is nearly 2 months old and they still did not ship it. The Covid excuse is wearing thin and that's all EK customer service have been able to say for the last 3 weeks. It's annoying, but I guess I still wanna support them.
Thanks for the review.

For those curious about the Arctic LF2 360, I have one that I use with my 3950x, and its absolutely amazing. I have unlocked power limits and pull about 250W under Prime95, and only see 73C under full load, and around 60C under heavy gaming. I honestly cant see anything else short of custom loop beating this thing. Unless you need RGB, this is the best there is IMO

Hell yeah, Just skimmed through the Video a Bit using the Chapters, this is an incredibly detailed Video! Super Appreciate this breakdown, this helps me a lot make decisions for clients. For Real, thank you for this, sitting back with my dinner and watching the entire video now.
GN, Still the best PC Hardware Journalists on the Net, hands down!

Frisbee + Golf = frisbeeGolf. There's two parts to accuracy, loose and looseness. Your always on fire because your always full of shit. So the hand is a claw, you sort of can know where its gonna go better than your legs, but your legs make the task easier. So shaking your hands allows them to tune into the legs.

Have you guys ever considered maybe selling the items that receive your highest ratings in your reviews, in your online store? I think that that would make it even more compelling for companies to make better products, if they know that it will directly lead to more sales through your reviews.

I only buy systems that introduce security vulnerabilities on my system. Its an important feature in a cooling system. The air conditioning in my house requires the key from the front door to be left in the exterior radiator in order for it to operate.

So if ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock security liabilities are something you want to install on your system
-quietly uninstalls MSI MysticLight I recently installed because I thought it would be neat to have both my RAM & my B450 Tomahawk Max display pure white light in their LEDs-

Arctic got its better performance from being thicker which means it is too thick to fit in a lot of cases including my NZXT H500. There was no mention of the thickness here so it is standard that will fit in more cases I presume?

I really like the look of teamgroup xtreem. But at a price that's double same spec kits i just can't bring myself to buying them. But i must say, they are good looking sticks. Not a fan of RGB but that's RGB done right.

Fantastic review, but I can't find data of you testing the Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 AiO. I know you aren't a fan of course, but I'm just curious at this point if my AiO is still relevant in your charts. Thank you.
