This week's hardware news talks about a new 7nm CPU (but not a direct competitor), Apple's ditching of silicon partners, the AMD Threadripper 3995WX CPU rumors, and Atari VCS. John: Huawei isn't gonna let a trivial thing like x86 licensing stop them for long CCP will provide them the answer in the form of its own x86 patent freshly borrowed from the US patent archive. Regarding Apple they were never known to be a good gaming platform opting to make their own gpus will only exacerbate their poor gaming image. It should stick to what it knows and shell out its planned obsolescence products like usual its been working for them this long why change it if the sheep are happy.

G'day Steve,
I have noticed you copping a lot of Crap in comments about the time you upload lately, well I would like to thank you for the current upload schedule, it is Awesome,
I can't believe how angry some American Viewers are getting because your uploads 'Aren't when They Want them',
Welcome to the Australian Tech Fan situation of uploads being in the middle of the night, They even expect Hardware Unboxed Steve & Tim to upload to suit them,
it is also interesting how angry American Viewers are at the prices of PSUs & hard to get CPUs, the prices you are getting is what we Aussies have to pay ALL the time,
Comments say you Don't want to pay the Inflated High Prices, but every time something is in stock they get Sold Out in seconds & someone has commented I just Got One , I don't understand the Logic

I just added to nvidia by building a comp for my gf with a 2060. I know I know, 2 months from now etc. But her 10 year old duo core prebuild is failing on multiple levels. She goes on vacation in a few weeks. I'd love to get another 5700 and play with sli since she hardly uses her PC. But I want something reliable. We spent 800+ tax on 2060 3600 600 watt psu 16 gig ram 3000 cl 16 bottom barrel everything else. Grabbed a 50 2 tb HD, but I am thinking I should add in a 500g ssd. It's 2020. ok edit just got a 60 ssd 480 gb for the OS

I believe I should be in the first category after their developer/etc. Units. I will check with you if it ships.
I believe AMD already released the model number of cpu/vega processor as a part of thier press release around the time of the revision.
The email I got related to the announcement of r1000 soc ryzen processors seemed to imply that it was either the r1606g or r1505g. That might be badly worded. The 2 sections of the press release are separated.

Really? Apple is also getting rid of AMD... I have no problem with that I don't see why anybody should have a problem with it those communist bastards trying to go their own way. They'll probably also set up fabrication in the United States of China. Let them go running I hope they set up shop over there and never come back.

Why is Apple trying to split the market even more? And how are they going to fight the mighty x86 instruction set architecture - especially now with AMD upping the game again and again - just think about the applications that are in development that use actually 8 threads and more in the future.

Metal represents all of apple, but it represents a puny market share and requires changing both your rendering code and shsder code. At this point, it is the PS3 equivalent of the GPUs: Too much effort, not many real-world performance benefits, not enough market share.

The VCS sounds like a shit show....just a Linux PC...on a low end Ryzen..with .4 teraflops..basically 1/6 the power of a PS4 pro.. No exclusive games.. the AtariVault is already available on steam for 10,bucks. For a 400,Dollar console.sound like.QUYA anyone?

It's a shame Apple dropped AMD as it means AMD can't possibly become a company that would ditch Apple if they didn't stop their anti right-to-repair practices. Just don't buy it doesn't change that others do and Apples efforts in affecting law on right-to-repair.
