Sorry to seem like the Class Dummy,
I did read your written News Article on the nVidia 12pin & the article By Dave James,
I was after a bit more info on the nVidia 12pin Power cable, when you started talking my brain just thought oh they are putting 2x6pin PCIe into a single plug, like they did with the 2x4pin EPS now just being an 8pin, but apparently not as it will be capable of Higher Current Loads,
I am a bit confused, will all nVidia GPU's be changing or just the Big Die ones?
if the New GPUs Need the New Plug to Exceed the 2x8pin PCIe (375w Max) wouldn't a 2x8pin PCIe to 12pin PCIe (up to 600w) adapter be insufficient similar to the old 4pin Molex to 6/8pin PCIe adapters,
if the GPUs don't need the extra Wattage then why change it yet?
also I am also not understanding 2x6pin PCIe = 6x12v+ & 6x12v- wires for 150w, 1x12pin PCIe = 6x12v+ & 6x12v- wires for 600w, are the wires higher spec? are the connectors majorly different?

Joking aside it's good that Intel aren't attempting to sell inferior silicon at full price, my i9 9900k is really shitty, it even struggles with 4.8Ghz, so if they had been doing the same thing back in Coffee Lake I think my 9900k would have been a 9850k, I mean it meets the advertised specs but I feel so left out when all the other kids are getting 5Ghz. I heard the old grey fox jay2cents say the other day that all i9 9900k will do 5Ghz all core, well that might be true with the cherry picked pieces that appear on his modmat, but for the rest of us saps who have to buy our shit, this obviously isn't true. In the silicon lottery I am the guy who lost his ticket down the back of the sofa.

This whole power connector thing is weird: 8PIN and 6PIN connectors could deliver much more power than they are delivering now: let's look at the standard EPS 12V 8PIN - it's delivering 72W per pair of 12V and ground for total of 288W and there are high current ones too - they can deliver even more power. EPS 12V 8 Pin has 4 pairs of 12V and ground, GPU 8 Pin is 3 pairs and 6 PIN is 2 pairs - they can easily deliver 150W with 6 PIN and 225W with 8 PIN (while going by current EPS 12V specs), I'm pretty sure that in reality they could easily deliver 200W with 6 PIN and 300W with 8 PIN.

Steve mate you're really pushing this 'intels number are so mad' narrative aren't you? 10850 is 50 less than 10900, what's difficult about that? The 10850 is a bit less powerfukl than the 10900 so they knocked 50 off the number, and it has K at the end which means it's unlocked, K has meant the multiplier is unlocked for 10 years or so, again not complicated, I mean I'm a dick head and I understand that, so some big brained technical guru like you should be able to grasp that without furrowing your brown too much. OK I'm done here, Intel fanboi away....

Why are people so angry that there are multiple CPU's with different mhz like the 3x00XT range, or now the 10850k? Do you not remember the days of P3 500, 600, 700, 733, 866, 900, 1000 etc? Sure 100mhz is a very small bump (or drop in intels case) but why does everyone expect there to only be one FAST CPU and not slower ones with the same core count?

The 12-pin connector is rated 9.5A per pin in the image you provided, so if it has six 12V pins that's a theoretical limit of 144W per pin (x6) = 684W? That's probably the absolute physical limit though, my guess is you never want to get anywhere near that figure. Pretty crazy, and it doesn't even include the 75W from the PCI-e slot.

Hello Gamers Nexus, I have a problem I live in Spain and here where I live it is very hot about 35 degrees now in summer 40 maximum, I have a red devil rx 5700 xt and with the stock voltage reaches 90-95 degrees the junction temperature, What could I do to lower those temperatures, the fans are at 55%, greetings and I love your videos

It's still a pain to redeem them. I got the last 2 they had and you first have to install the component then download a program to check and see if you have installed said product. Then if all is good with that, you get a code. The borderlands 3 one I got was on epic. The newest one the RE 3 remake was at least for steam.

As far as the 12-pin connector/cable, my question is why? Why would you need a single cable that can handle 650W? I mean, sure it's cool that the single cable can handle that put power, but if you're not utilizing it's capabilities, then what's the point? Why not just continue to use the dual 8-pin or even triple 8-pin?

lol I'm still running DDR3 1333Hz memory. I was gonna wait till Zen 3 comes out to replace the mobo, CPU, and RAM in one go but should I hold off till DDR5 RAM becomes available? I'm running an i7-4790k and I honestly have no idea if it's bottlenecking my RTX 2080.
