I installed Ubuntu 18.04. It only shows the black screen and cursor. As long as I leave the DVD in the player it will boot from the DVD again and show the try it or install screen. I hit X to cancel install and I can use Ubuntu as long as I keep the DVD in the player though. Everything I do with Ubuntu it has to access the DVD first. If I remove the DVD then it kinda crashes until I put the DVD back in. How do I get my computer to access the hard drive? I had windows 7 on here before and over wrote it to do Ubuntu only? Help please.

Sorry for the hate Chris, but this is just another way of opening these administrative tools. Yes, well you might save yourself 2-5 seconds by remembering all of these, but I don't believe this video should be about - Windows Commands -Every User Should Know- -
What about -netsh-, -reg-, -shutdown-, -runas- etc... ?
Not that I'm a windows fanboi xD

Instead of having to remember these funky command names a good number of these things can be accessed by just pressing the win key and typing what you need. For example if I want to change environment variables I just press the win key and start typing -envir- and by that point I usually have the option I am looking for at the top and I just press enter.

In windows 10 if you right click on the taskbar and click on search you can add show search box to it. Then inside that, (instead of using the run command) for User Access Control, all you need to do is type 'uac'. Just adding to Chris' already good presentation. Hope he doesn't mind!

Dameware is a great utility for IT techs in the business environment. The best part is that it can remotely install the remote service in the target PC without having to go to it physically first. I really like Dameware. It costs some bucks but it's worth every penny for an IT tech.

To bring up the old -basic system Info- page, I like to use the keys: [Win] + [Pause] . If you look near the top (on the left-hand side) of this info page, you'll see -Control Panel Home----which is a direct link to the old control panel.

Sorry, but 6 minutes in I have not seen a single command that any Windows user should know. Useful for Windows administrators, yes, but not to the 1000's of Windows user at the company where I work.

I wish that my one Pc could remember Run history. My laptop can but my desktop can-t and have never been able to. I can-t tell the difference on the Pc-s and the settings and neither can MS.

I actually wrote a handy batch script I keep on my desktop so I can quickly change my IP to my static IP and DNS for each of my customers sites. LITERALLY BEST SCRIPT I HAVE EVER MADE! -
