Once again, Webroot is absoutely terrible these days. Windows Defender and any big name free antivirus will provide much better protection. When tested against recent malware, Webroot alwys does much worse than any big name antivirus (often much worse). It is extremely irresponsible to recommend a second rate antivirus.
There is absolutely nothing unique or remarkable about Webroot. For example, Kaspersky also can rollback malicious actions. But Kaspersky, does tihs much better than Webroot does and Kaspersky Security Cloud is free.

-Just buy the antivirus- vs security suite. There are other malware variants than viruses, like adware, or online attacks on a variety of URLs that will probe your system for weaknesses. Are you saying that the default firewall of Windows is enough against those? Adware can also be a pain, I had to clean up users' PC that got infected (usually coming from online games, and that's usually always the same type of user who get infected like that...), those are not always part of the base antivirus.

i don't want to be punched in the face so i am not going to a karate dojo to be punched in the face in order to be prepared to the small probability of being punched in the face on the street. the worst case scenario of a virus attack is that i have to pay. and guess what? paying to antivirus is the rob in the first place. antiviruses are indeed viruses, same as the hypocrite medecines that causes the illness they're supposed to cure.

Off your topic, for about 2 weeks now I'm satisfied with using Linux, I have been using Windows since 2006 I was happy but I always ran into issues I still use it now (Windows 10 Pro 1909) Linux, on the other hand, is great I get faster downloads, streaming is better that I can surf while I stream. I basically just use a computer for Email, Surfing for news content, Twittering, Downloading, streaming and occasionally play PokerStars.

So you did shill. For the product category -premium antivirus-.
You see free antiviruses don't pay the bills so even though you agree that most people if not all people should use Microsoft defender you spent the whole video shilling webroot.
There is a free combo that works great btw. Microsoft Defender and Malwarebytes for scanning after installing torrents. Completely free and just as fast.

There are free options that don't give ads and annoyances. Immunet, which is jointly run by Cisco Systems and uses the Open Source code from ClamAV, is one such solution. It's also a cloud based solution, and can function as a co-antivirus alongside Windows Defender. It's also free for business use. It also has a bit of an issue with aggressive false positives due to their heuristics.

Hi Chris, I think after this video you should make some video talking about blocking all inbound and outbound rules in Windows Firewall and explain how to configure in a organization and also for security purposes too. And talk what port the services uses so the organization/users can configure the windows firewall without any problems.

Titally agree. Using it for over 6 years since I had a bad root kit and this fixed it. No problems since. Very lightweight. I also like Kaspersky, but it puts crap everywhere in your system, very hard to totally uninstall. I really miss having a great outbound firewall besides the win offering.

I've enjoyed Webroot. I see you are recommending ESET. Is there a video you have done that addresses your change in recommendation. I'm good with what I have but you usually have a valid reason for changing up your recommendations and I would like to hear your take, Thanks

Mr
Extra likes for Chris risking his life with hot coffee and hand gestures. Regarding viruses - with Linux it is easy to understand what is going on with your system. I am not sure how you would get an actual virus, but of course, browser based scams are always a thing.
