How to Learn about Linux - Windows - Networking - + More - Chris Titus Tech How to Learn about Linux, Windows, Networking, and More Main Channel page - https://www.youtube.com/c/ChrisTitusTech Leslie: Hi Chris,
I have a (un)related question. I have watched many of your presentations regarding different topics, such as reviewing other distros.
What is the distro you use that you always return to, because of your personal preference and comfort?
I can tell you that my -go back to- is Fedora. I feel comfortable with it. I also have two other permenant installations. One to Tumbleweed that is my second to Fedora, and then third is Clear Linux. I do not have negative impressions about the latter two. I did use an arch based system for a while as well as a Debian system. With Fedora, I can watch every mp3,mp4,mov, mpeg, jpeg, etc graphic or video that arrive in my in-box. I can do all that I want with it, and with it I am more familiar.
As a retired pensioner, after nearly 55 years in IT, I started to write C programs for a hobby. To check the quality of my code, Because each of their language compilers was at different version (levels) I flip between the three mentioned distros. I now tend to code with Clear Linux, and then check out the code with the other two. It is April 3, and gradually, all the mentioned distros's C compilers are essentially at the same functional level. I have no need to wander, except to browse the respective forums.
When evaluating distros, can you post the estimate of the number of days you stay with that Distros as your default desktop?

Thanks again, Chris Titus! I don't think it is fully appreciated the effort a Youtuber must go through to keep their videos organized into logical playlists. So here is my recognition of that! Hope to learn many things from you in the future!
While I'm here, I had an idea come up: I'm thinking it may be a good video opportunity to explain when someone may be ready/have the skills to take to and apply for certain positions. I'm in the process of changing career paths and I'm interested in infosec. Since I'm switching in, It is difficult for me to understand when my skillset becomes hireable, at least, to an entry level position and I'm sure many like me have the same issue.
I'm targeting web security since at the moment it seems to be the low hanging fruit and I intend to grow from their to network security probably. Of course you can cater the video to something you feel more qualified to discuss on such a topic. But, for my sake, if you can talk about web security and/or network security that would be awesome -.

Hi Sir Great vid --. I have a Query (Moved from win7 to mint last week), Where to store the user data, such as documents, photos, music, videos, ebooks etc. in Linux? The main idea is to be able to reinstall & reformat the system drives in Linux without the fear of personal data (MP3, JPGs, PDFs etc., not user config files) loss. What I'm looking for is D: drive like partition and if it is useful in Linux . - Please help! Thanks.

Chris are there even any drivers that works with Linux? Like, Linux is great, but no one supports it and barely any hardware have driver support for Linux.
What I say may be wrong I always base my mindset on how I'm judged to fit in with one group, I'll fall apart on another.

Here's an interesting topic to cover for a video. The difference of using -apt upgrade- and -apt dist-upgrade- and what it targets for package upgrades, because I don't think people will know the difference in how these commands work when they go to use them.

Do you have any recomendations on how to setup a small/family lan with a centralized fileserver with backup system and how to organize the authentication/file permissions systems? Most of your videos are single user oriented.
