So, Chris, did you, at one time, recommend Brave (I think that was it) for an anti-virus? I'm not very computer savvy and at 71 years of age, really need some honest recommendations and I think you're the one to come to as I don't have enough money to be wasting on different ones.....know what I mean. I have Malwarebytes at present....so let me know, please.

I love the transparency from you, people that I've watched for years (cough MKBHD, LinusTechTips etc) do not disclose the salary or the amount of money they make from us (the consumers, what I mean by that is YouTube Premium) and the Google AdSense which both contribute to YouTubers.

First of all thanks for sharing everything and being so open and upfront about it. My question is that how did you learn all the technical stuff? I don't think XP certification could get you this far with Linux and all the other stuff you talk about in your videos.

Much respect for sharing this level of personal detail Chris! Even though it is personal I appreciate the transparency you've displayed in this. This establishes and strengthens more of the principle of trust between you and your viewers.

I think I made a huge mistake at 25 going to university/tech college and spending 60K on tech courses and other courses with nothing to show for it after 4 years. At 31 now, I'm starting to see it.

Wow nice job Mate. I really didn-t think you would be really transparent and show everything what you earn.
Thumbs up only for being honest and showing what you earn for younger guys.

You do well at YouTube because you speak clearly, recording is consistent from video to video and you explain the content in a digestible manner without being condescending. Congratulations -

$60k/yr and rising is still quite enough to live on. You do you, Chris!
Patreon and Merch are two good avenues for both promotion and income, if you're looking to supplement.
