Material Shell - Turn GNOME Into A Tiling Window Manager DistroTube You guys know I hate GNOME. But some of you thought that I might be impressed with the Material Shell, an extension that attempts to turn GNOME into a tiling window manager. So I took a very brief look at this alpha-quality software. - https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2019/07/material-shell-tiling-gnome-shell-extension

If I relax, my right hand usually falls downward on the keyboard, or else leaves it entirely, and my left hand rests easily near WASD. Depending on where your super key is (e.g. on a universal/mac-compatible keyboard there's usually one to the right of the spacebar), I have to think that the developer made a very deliberate and prudent decision regarding the default keybindings. You were pretty quick to start trashing what is clearly someone's pet project, and it makes you look close-minded

I can't tell what's wrong with this video and it's viewers disliking it, people mentioning that DT should do a research of material shell and criticizing him for it but he's not the one who's blamed for it the author of omg.ubuntu should be criticized because he mislead it's readers and gave wrong information.
DT just followed the article and gave his own opinion about it whether it's right or wrong it's his opinion and you're free to take it or refusing but criticizing him.

Linux news
From the dedicated folks at MX
We are currently working on the next MX release, MX-19, based on Debian
Buster and antiX 19. Part of our plan is to include the lastest Xfce
4.14, which is due to be released in August. So we hope to release
MX-19 in late fall.

WASDA is indeed not a bad idea, I love vim keybindings but I also appreciate being able to use only one hand for the purpose, also as a gamer its almost second nature as well, if anything i'm kinda disappointed that I didn't think about using WASDA.

As an i3 convert, I too thought -good God!- when I first heard about this. I also laughed at the key bindings. BTW, the really good DT vids are the singing DT vids.

why don't you try getting familiar with the extension before recording a demo so we don't have to watch you fumble around like a buffoon for 12 minutes? this was painful.
