From seeing how not only is this a privacy and security invasive product as it's from a country infamous for tacky quality with a lax view on plagiarism but also to be favoured by a specific generation of a young audience going along with using it just to feel relevant despite being bad, it just helps justifying my already negative view on how generally our civilization is becoming mentally diminished with time becoming more bought up by someone else with no thought for every new generation into the future since a while ago.

Honestly I disagree with the -everything should be open source- idea. Not everything should. If social media is decentralized, then who's going to prevent child porn, among other gross and possibly illegal, stuff from being posted and remove it? If CP gets uploaded, everyone hosting the site would be arrested

At first glance I thought I'd rather give my data to Google who just want to profit from it instead to a hostile foreign government wanting to suppress my rights. But then I realized Google would also sell my data to hostile foreign governments wanting to suppress my rights. So, both is bad.

NO PARENT should allow this toxic CHINESE app on their child-s device(s. Unfortunately, we often find it on their ignorant parent-s devices as well. CHINA IS NEVER TO BE TRUSTED!
