All we can really do is to increase the amount of effort that it takes to track what we are doing.
There will always be a way to track someone, be it by using some build in back door in some piece of software or the OS itself. It's probably just a question of if it is worth doing so.
For instance in Germany they have some trojan called the -Bundestrojaner- (federal-trojan) which is said to be dormant until a backdoor is needed. (there have been quite a few iterations and variants over the years)
This not a conspiracy theory, but has been confirmed by the German government years ago as a means to -protect- their citizens ;)
I think it is not unreasonable to assume that many governments and even companies have something like that.

Thanks 4 info. u need a whole private operating system & apps, not just a search engine. Google controls every ounce of your data.

I don't really understand the concept of privacy in the internet. In the end all what companies want is to give you better ads and stuff like that (which in my opinion is a good thing). So why should you care about it that much about it? I think most people just do it because they get told to do it, and never really think about why.

What a bunch of nonsense, google has this thing called ACCOUNT SETTINGS!, seriously, you can remove all your search data if you want. But why the hell would you? That -tracking- (aka HISTORY!) it's what makes search better. Search engines without search history and algorithms will always be inferior.

Anyone on Duck Duck Go is still using Google. The only two search engines who are independent are Mojeek and Swiss Cows who have their own search index. Everyone else uses either Microsoft or Google in other words, you're still on Big Tech!

As a developer, the answers I duckduckgo suck and adds extra work and ultimately lessens my productivity.
The answers I look for using Google are right there on top. Essentially makes me more productive.

duck duck go is google lol. Also sells your(yes they lied about it and got exposed for it) data so you just failed selling me nice... Duck duck go also censors its search egine so its all PC content only.
