Hi, I downloaded EzArcher to try to get this package, as it was not in my usual distribution. Then I tried inststalling it in EzArcher and found that yay was missing and then I found trying to install yay, that that was missing ...
I'm sorry, I don't understand Arch but I need to get GopherVR running as I am writing a new Gopher 3D viewer and I need to research it using GopherVR. If you could help, that would be very good - yours is about the only video I can find on GopherVR. Some simple instructions how to install it on a suitable Arch Live Distro would be enough. Thanks.

I recently moved from KDE neon to switching between awesome wm and awesome wm+lxqt.
It's quite comfortable as I actually know a bit of lua from modding games. I'm a little bit lost in the config file because it's so big and it has strange library(the require statements at the top) names like awful, wibar and naughty

25 years ago I though the future of desktops would have been virtual reality, only it would've been set in a virtual house, were you walk or glide to specific rooms (Video room, document rooms (ie. the library, etc.) Having said that, this seems to give me mild nausea. Viva the terminal

-DistroTube Have you tried GoboLinux btw? I really like the idea to get rid of the currently very confusing filesystem which is mostly build on old standards which got adjusted ways to many times. Seems very interesting but I'm not quite sure about it's current state.

If I type -lynx gopher://distro.tube-, lynx responds with -connecting to gopher network...- forever, but I don't see the site.
If I type -gopher gopher://distro.tube-, gopher displays the site immediatly, but your html links won't work

A blast from the past! Throw-Back Saturday! I remember GopherVR from the 90s. It was pretty cool. I remember hoping the World Wide Web would end up this way but it never happened. Now it's just bloated ads. :)

Dude this is insane considering how far VR has improved over the years. If worked upon and compatibility becomes a non-issue, you could make a retrofuturistic dream come true (at least somewhat).

I'm waiting for someone to remake this in QT/GTK and add actual VR support lol. Also is this the closest we'll get to seeing gamer dt? -
