Well I agree with you in some points but
1- You can Install third party app store on your android device without changing the ROM
2- You can disable almost any apps on android without switch to lineage OS
3- On third party app store you will find a lot of Maleware not like Apple app store or Google play store some Maleware pass the security check on many of third party store
4- I really like Lineage OS but you can see most of the type of OS they have is NIGHTLY which means according to mokee website -Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs- not like RELEASE type which is -more stable than NIGHTLY-
I have other points but my reply Already long and thank you for your videos and your great work-

Here is my philosophical reason to switch to FOSS: If you like being in control of what you do, if you don't like being told what you can and can't do, if you don't like being manipulated and forced into things that aren't in your best interested, if you want to be on top of things you own, and if you want to free to make decisions on your own, then switch to Free and Open Source Software. It's not better, prettier, sleeker. It's a way of life. That's why the FOSS Movement exist. To free the mind.

Thanks for this video. It was well thought out and delivered. In case you need ideas for videos, I would like to know more about freeing my android phone. For instance
what carriers are open to this or allow changing their phones? For instance, will RepublicWireless, or Ting, or. allow you to go the FOSS route on their android phones? Thanks!

if you didn't know about FOSS and someone would have told you
one might think why would someone put their effort if they don't get money
But now you know there are people doing it through cooperation and passion.
Ever wonder what if all live through cooperation without money?
You might find the answer in my playlists

Just for any one out there with a Mac, if you right click, then press open, the prompt that comes up usually will now have an -open- button so you don-t have to go to system preferences to open it. Doesn-t really fix the issue but it-s a convenient workaround

2021, frustrated of how google is locking chromium, I land on your video.
what can I say? henry warned us 3 years ago.
limiting chromium based browsers so that people switch back to chrome is their strategy to -lock you into their ecosystem-

I've been using Linux for a few years, now thanks to you I will also install lineage (or other custom ROMs) on my phone. I don't think it will be hard because I already use f-droid.
