What happens when encrypted disk gets corrupted for whatever reason?
Sometimes a simple power shortage can introduce corrupted sector(s) which can be easily fixed with Win scanner. Is it going to work the same way with encrypted disk?
What about partition image backups and restores?
Restoring backup image from one disk to another? Is the image mountable?
What happens to data copied from encrypted disk to unencrypted?

Veracrypt is too slow. Only for people who are willing to take big performance penalty in exchange for paranoid security. Honestly I'm just using hardware encryption through BitLocker (enforced from group policies) on my SSDs. I just want basic encryption protection with no performance penalty, so that not just anyone can boot live USB from my PC and access my data instantly.

So I have a question. Could you perhaps encrypt a folder like you did and ut it on a cloud shared drive?
For example: lets say you have around 30 workers and you want only 5 to have access to this folder but they all have access to the cloud shared drive.
Is it possible to open the encrypted files from the devices not using veracrypt?

Thank you for explaining the program. It still looks a bit complicated to me. And I wonder what the other options and things are for. But I guess you have explained all the things that are necessary to operate the program for an average computer user, like me-. Thanks again. And I will try it out for my files.

It states OSXFUSE must be installed but that requires I give remote access of my new MacBook to some random dude this obviously makes me uncomfortable - is there an alternative program or a work around any help will be greatly appreciated

Uhh I've got a dumb question, I've followed all of the steps in the right order and I wonder, will veracrypt encrypt both my ssd and my hdd present in my computer? or will it only encrypt the ssd (on which my windows system is stored on)?

WARNING: if you are encrypting a non-system drive, the only way to UN-encrypt it is to move its files somewhere else. If you're working on a laptop and space is tight, this could mean buying an external drive.

Would recommend making a video on building a script that would serve as a -Dead man switch-
in case you need to encrypt things on the fly for obvious reasons that i will leave for the audience to imagine.

i do not understand how it would work if I want to retrieve the folder I encrypted from another PC. let say I encrypted the folder in PC one, how would I access the folder from PC two?
