Some texts i get from my son are normally readable, some say encrypted
He knows nothing about them and have not seen a key or padlock in the chat window
Whats going on
The first time i saw this was after he sent a pic from a friend that said encrypted so i refused to click itt
Is this Google or malware
The encrypted txts are random letters and numbers and not readable
We use android 11 and Google txt

What I still don't understand after this video is, if you do install Aurora Droid, does that app have access to your data? and then if you install an app from it, like a banking app or messenger app, what kind of compromise is it? Is it like a total compromise or does your phone put something between the app and your data still?

I'm not sure why tin foil hats still say Signal is bad because of its involvement with the CIA. TOR was made by US Navy employees with the intelligence community in mind and still used by the CIA. These same folks that bash Signal will hail TOR.

Briar seems like a dream to me! No annoying voice messages, video calls or anything. Just pure text messaging, I love it.
7: 27 why was that so funny to me? :D
Maybe because of the trollface and because I expected him to stay honest. :P

Getting non-techies to use a new messaging service is hard enough which is why Signal should be number 1 since no one is going to get most people to use Briar. Let's be realistic.

Status im? it's also p2p. ish (does use nodes. It also has its cryptocurrency, what's the problem with those? I don't get it. It seems to be similar to Session.

I'm under the impression that Telegram is quite secure because they used it in Hong Kong and the program / servers were never directly compromised? Am I wrong?

Signal leaks IPV6 info. A guy I knew found the file server storage area and was looking at porn and pictures not deleted.
