the fact that you only in a minority of cases get the -via - thing on the prompt infuriates me. i cant get this unnecessary message to go away, i get it on every damn line. it really is just annoying and serves zero purpose, and yet there is no nice way to remove it on bash shell. same with the -took X seconds-. how do they say -it is customisable and minimal- when it is so cluttered with hard to remove stuff that no one wants

Thank you for this video. Even if I don't bounce between different shells much, it's nice to have a different config file just for the prompt that I can hack on without worrying if I'm gonna make a noob mistake and bork my bash or zsh config file lol.

I wasn't aware that you can have different shell prompts for shells, I might switch back to bash from fish and just get a custom prompt to be comfortable again.

Not sure if it out of the world, i mean powerlevel9k and 10k could do a lot more than that. Except the multi shell compatibility though which is kinda nice, but why?

I'm aware DT is all about linux, but wanted to add that Starship is also compatible with both CMD & Powershell; which is what I use on my Windows platforms.

Do you know that in fish you do not have to type in -cd- to change directories? You can just type the relative path and fish will assume you want to CD there

My console isn't be able to show your color-scripts properly anymore, somehow they became very distorted images. What dependencies does it have?
