I fail to see how this could possibly be legal as its effectively warrant-less surveillance.

None of these tech companies are private companies.
They were all supported from their infancy, or actually developed, using taxpayer funds.
Just look at their revolving door policies with government/military/Intelligence officials.
Anyone claiming they are private companies have no clue what they are talking about.

1: 09 -_-NSW Health is an Australian company. -_- No, it's a government department for the state of New South Wales, in Australia. As such people have no choice when it comes to dealing with them and providing them private information. So it's a much more serious issue than it would be with a private company.

I wouldn't mind companies getting so large that they need to agree to become a -public utility- and abide by some sort of extra rules or allow the public some extra control. Maybe. Although they'd always find loopholes lol.

Well done Nathan. Could you please reformat Surveillance Report titles to start with SR or Surveillance Report instead of content specific. For example, I almost skipped over this thinking it was Apple specific.

What I don't get is why you would accept a settlement with such a life ruining event. It's a slam dunk case and should of went through trial to truly punish the contractor and Apple.

NSW health isn't a company. It's the government health department for the state of New South Wales. NSW is just the abbreviation of New South Wales.

Google didnt roll over for the emails because it was the Trump administration. They would have bent over and pulled their pants down for Biden.
