I fixed it in steam, by right clicking on conan > properties > local data and then let the game check for corrupted data (i have the german version), basicially the last option.
I think it's the graphics options you replace with his files. Other games have this error as well and it seems, that putting them to default by repairing them trough steam fixes this issue.

I really wanted to play this game with low settings on my potato laptop... it worked a bit but was very choppy but after applying these changes it breaks the game so it takes 45 mins or more to load with the loading music stuttering like a techno track and then if it does manage to load, it freezes instantly requiring a forced shut-down. How do I undo everything in this vid?

I just turned off the Steam overlay and used the launch options to set to 4 cores. Now Steam doesn't seem to think my game is even installed. Looks like I might have to reinstall the game now. Don't do any of this. This guide sucks. I didn't even do most of it, just the beginning and it's wrecked my game.

hello. please help me. ive been playing for two days. no problem at all. but yesterday evening, with new little update a lag came out. npcs and players are instantly teleporting, looks live walking but not moving. any ideas ? ive tried to verify the folders and repairing. nothing happens.

Got Fatal Errors on launch after making the .INI changes. Once I restored to the default .INIs it returned to working correctly. From what I can tell the other optimizations made an improvement. I used the med INIs if that's relevant.

don't replace the performance files as they will crash your game. The game has been updated since this video and they don't work. If you replaced any files inside the game directory, do a validate file check in steam to fix.

hey bro nice vid i followed it all the way through but i get about 50 to 60 fps at the beginning of game but whin i run or move my mouse the frames drop all the way to 5 to 10 stuuterring like hell please do you have a fix for this

Seems to have worked fairly well, the game went form unplayable to just somewhat annoying. No idea why I had so much lag this time, been playing it since it came out on the same PC and never had any issues before.
