Google Tricking Me to Get a Phone Number (2FA! Why This is Not About Security - Rob Braxman Tech Youtube gave me a warning that unless I enable two factor authentication (by Nov 1, 2021, meaning I had to give them my phone number, then I would lose access to my Youtube account. But when checking the options offered for 2FA, I became suspicious about what the real intent is. This is not about making my account secure. This is about extracting my identity. I will explain. We will discuss what I see as their true intent and how I fight back to deny them my data using a new technique I call Device Isolation Ting. Com Referral Link Check Out Startpage Search Engine

Regarding YouTube's forced 2FA, what's the catch simply using a Yubikey? Can they get your phone number that way or does the product register it? (Currently awaiting mine in the post) I'm just surprised how pro-Yubikey Google is. Also if I were to get a dedicated SIM card for 2FA purposes, would it matter if I put it in my dual-SIM phone or should I use a separate one?

The intimate info that google has is more than therapist, lover, family members, A privacy invasion is by non consent such as the data you dont offer them in exchange for a -FREE- service. Maybe when US catches up to other countries who protect rights of their citizens, the non-consenting party will be a part of a class-action suit for privacy violation.

My post keeps getting shadow-deleted/auto-modded. I don't know why. It was talking about how I had a similar problem, and that Discord is even worse in many many ways.
I even edited out words like -Discord- and -YouTube- and -Google-.
I don't know why this one didn't get deleted but my other attempts did (assuming this one does stay up)

Always separate your real life and the -information- life, be disconnected.
Like most celebrities -don't have- official accounts.
That's basic starting minimum.
The corporations are not your friend and -free stuff- is the most dangerous thing these days.

In a legal sense it's called joinder, when you yourself declare a direct connection between your identity and your account. If they don't have this, they need to first ascertain proof towards first demonstrating this which can sometimes be more effort than it's worth.

I'm not sure the different browser technique works on a computer. I've seen Facebook show me ads on Firefox for things I was window shopping in the Chromium browser. If it can happen on the computer I can't believe that it cannot happen on the phone.

mmm, isn't your IP enough to corelate your various browsers?
I mean, there are many websites with google ads, unless you kind of block any google URL with an extention or something, I'm pretty sure, Google can still get your ID this way.

The thing is, Bob, that if you use a VPN, Google and YouTube sometimes will ask you to verify the phone again and again as the IP address changes. So that is going to cost you $9 each time you have to purchase a disposable phone? Yes? No?

Just think of those idiots sitting in a meeting room discussing how to best dupe you and extract information from you. There's just not enough competition out there. If there was free market with choices would curb their bad bahavior.

Google has allowed someone to use my financial information to make multiple purchases and has refused to refund my money after telling me someone used it on their own Google Play Store app
