Now Derrick you know your just a closet Windows user... lmao. Obviously I am joking, but your first few minutes had me laughing... All I have ever seen of you is covering free and open software. Why in the world? Here's your sign... Stick to your passions. Realize most people are just self serving sheep, Reason, logic and certainly not principals need not apply. Even in the Linux world. You can't take this stuff personally. Yeah sure so your numbers may not be in the millions because you specialize, but you do great content creation. Think about this for a second. I am a nerdy, christian libertarian that specializes in promoting individual liberty and mocking statists and statism, I have a rigorous fan base, because of my content but because I side on principals over party and or popular ideas, I basically tick off all the check marks, on any given day. Can't make them all happy. Never will. There's about 150 million Americans who would never come near my page let alone listen all because I say as long as your not harming others you should live your life the way you see fit. Such a radical concept, I know. So we are in a way in the same boat and have some theme overlap. You believe in software freedom as I do, I also believe in human freedom as I am sure many of us should as Americans. We both don't like closed systems. If I did a podcast and shared it on here I probably wouldn't last a week, yet there would be nothing objectionable about it. I thank the public schools for the watered down thinking. But as I said I like your content. Keep doing what you do. I know you get a lot of feedback and thus are very busy. I hope at least you see this message.

Good decision on basic stuff. Depending on topic my Linux knowledge varies from 050 level to 200 lever with many topic not represented at all. Linux is a VERY complex beast.
There is a TON of videos in several languages already done. The only downside is some of them are less than quality in nature. Many have horrid audio and unfortunately a few to some (depending on topic) have dated or outright wrong information stated within them. As time goes on the number of bad beginner video keeps increasing.

About social media. There's couple of things to do with social media. Where someone choose ignorance, other choose aggression. Social media vulnerable. And it's a good news.

i don't know if you've made one already or not , but how about a video on using and configuring qemu ?
im asking because im having a hard time understanding how to get the network setup.
(if it already exists don't worry about it , i'll find it eventually)

On the one hand you say a relevant name is important and on the other hand you say you don't enjoy dumb content like distro reviews.
I think a brand is not something you should entirely plan. It is something that will evolve over time

Congrats on 12 years without Windows! I'm about 16 months into not using Windows. Windows 7 was my last. I refuse to put Windows 10 on MY machine but my wife and daughter need it on theirs but I'm still nervous about them having it.

I'm European, and I've gotta confess why I watch DT (which I do regularly as clockwork) is 80% because of the content, and 20% because of DT's accent. It is just cool. ANyway, keep it up, create whatever content you like!

You know what man? I keep coming back to your videos because you're a nice and calm guy who shares common interests with me. It's really just that simple.
You could do an unboxing of a box and I'd still watch it.

Another thing with mastodon you can follow anyone from any instance as long as you know what instance they are on. So if you get banned from one you can still follow your friends on that instance.
