Manjaro is great for, uhm, -screwing around- but your system will get bricked at fairly persistent intervals with their updates. I'm not a tech guru an I-m old as dirt (68). I don't know why this happens (updates destroying a Manjaro installation) but, for me, it happened about three times and I forgot about Manjaro. The damned thing was nothing but headaches - I'm surprised that so many people use it, rave about it, etc. Manjaro, for me, made Windows look almost acceptable. This idea of, -Let's update the whole system all the time...- - good luck. It's a recipe for disaster - c'mon.

What I hate about Manjaro and Other Arch Distribution is AUR Package where you have no choice since your apps was only available on AUR and you wont to install manually but guest what AUR is basically manually install especially if it install from github and built it also since manually install doesnt provide uninstall command for some dependecy which makes my system filled with junk files which I dont need those dependency anymore and it just sucks when you have to search it one by one file of those dependency from your previous apps.

I did the same thing last year and I lasted from may to about june 21 and it dies after an update.
Edit: My Manjaro broke even though I used the terminal although I forgot to use my backup and I gave up on fixing it and went back to windows. Sigh I should of used the backup I had. Although now that I think about it, the grub wouldn't even load so thats why I had to go to windows it broke so bad I could only load into windows.

Chris or anyone know how to get rid of the blue line in panel glitch when I put the mouse over icons after I switch plasma style in Manjaro kde im going blind but i see that blue line it bugs the crap out of me and I looked around for answers no luck I switched distro to be able to do that I dont want to change to anothe arch distro kde if its going to do the same thing love your videos thanks

Arch distros are complete garbage. Theyre so fragile they fall apart just by looking at them.
If you cant use the gui package manager without breaking the system then why even include it.
If your operating system is so bad that you need to backup the system then im sorry but your operating system is terrible. Stop blaming the user and let the developers carry their burden of responsibility..

One question for all of you guys, apart from graphic differences and preinstalled softwares, in terms of stability and reliability, would you suggest gnome3 version or xfce for manjaro?

I've used the same Manjaro install since about this video was made, only recently reinstalled because I got new SSD. Worked fine for 10 months, even tho i installed and uninstalled multiple desktops and window managers. Back when I was running Plasma on it, pamac broke once. Didn't break my system, it forced me to become terminal based for the first time. A win
