P20 Pro has slightly better camera then Note9 and it is more versatile, more options. And it is a nice starter to learn to use stuff like iso shutter speed etc etc so when u buy a real Dslr u will use it much better. Also I recommend to use a tripod or stative when u r taking pictures with huawei. But at the and when you compare other things and posibillities the Note 9 is overall better phone! And I have P20 Pro so I am not defending huawei. I am just real. Note 9 is a better phone but Huawei is really great also. What ever u choose u will be happy.

I know photography is, ultimately, subjective. However, although the P20 is very impressive, I think the U12+ actually took most of the nicest shots in your review. If anything, I'd consider it a tie with the P20 or, at the very least, second place. The shots looks very pleasing, with good tones, exposure, details, depth and overall quality. I actually don't comprehend how you didn't come to the same conclusion when looking at your own images, but I digress. Subjectivity is king. Regardless, thanks for your reviews! Keep up your good work!

Why do you turn in the AI on Huaweii but not the rest.
I've got a Note 9 and photos can look LEAGUES better than what you're demonstrating.
Love both phones, but this is obviously not a fair comparison. You literally handicap every other phone. LITERALLY.
That's like comparing runners in a marathon. just that one is allowed to use a Lamborghini.
Not saying the Note 9 takes better photos, I agree with the verdict. But it DEFINITELY takes better photos than that from my experience.

A big problem with the Galaxy Note 9 at least for me is the size, it is just so big.
I Went to the store to buy it but i tried it first with my jacket and the phone was to big for my jacket pocket.
The next day i come back again with another jacket and it was the same thing: (
As a comparison with the P20 Pro i can just Close it with a cover protection but it was Close.
All these phones that is getting bigger and bigger, what are they thinking?

I'm watching with my p20pro.
Auto mode HTC and note 9 is balance and natural.
The low light is p20 pro.
I use p20pro always tooks sharp and a bit high contrast photo, if use pro mode is more natural and balance colour. Front camera abit exposed and selfie is pretty good beauty, if wefie p20pro is hard to focusing on other people face, Huawei should fix this problem

Holy guacamole, all these people in the comments section mad about some non existent bias. P20 pro was clearly the best. Accurate colours, clearer images, smarter AI, night mode, it's got it all. Samsung was good but so yellow. Fix that and it's game on. Coming from someone who uses none of these phones.

adam, i had a question, would you say p20 pro with ai turned OFF is the most accurate when capturing colors compared to other devices you have tested so far? (like pixel 2 xl for exapmle. And if you have a chance can you compare p20 pro with ai turned OFF and apple xs max for color accuracy in auto mode?

Which camera do you think won and why? Are you looking forward to the next iPhone and Pixel? Do you need to see my tax returns to see whether I was paid off by Huawei? Spoiler: I wasn't! How can I make these comparisons better? I love hearing from everyone so let me know!
