Hayden and Adam sit down to play some Just Cause 4. Unfortunately Hayden's experience with the game so far has been troublesome - which he illustrates in the video. Gaming on a Maingear F131 equipped with a Core i9-7980XE and dual GeForce GTX 1080 Ti's. Read the full article at PCWorld. com

-The menus are just tailored towards controllers- Then get it on the frickin Xbox one like I did XD
Also, I like many of you have Just Cause 4, and having said that, I need to ask: Is it really THAT bad? Is it really such a crime that the series tried to go into a different direction to stop the series from getting stale? Yes, it didn't do as good of a job as we thought it would have, but we should at least give them credit for trying.
I'll admit, upon hearing that this game was ditching the 'destroy everything to liberate a settlement' method, I almost quit the game. But as I played, I started to realise that it wasn't all that bad. Back in Just cause 2/3 (Dunno about 1, destroying things was fun, and I loved having an actual reason to destroy those different structures. But, the problem was that I HAD to destroy everything in each settlement to complete it. Sure, it was fine about 90% of the time, but it was that 10% of having to search every nook and cranny of a settlement for over an hour, just to find a billboard or a generator that had managed to escape my radar, pulling my hair wishing I could just go on to the next settlement but knowing I couldn't until I destroyed that one last thing.
This way, you don't HAVE to destroy everything, just destroy stuff at your leisure, knowing that it'll still somewhat help to progress the game, even if not to the extent that it did before. Beyond that, the game doesn't lag nearly as much as JC3, the destructibles are SOOO much more satisfying to blow up due to the metal rubble left over, the weather, although not appearing as much as it could've is a blast to play with, the screen doesn't make it look like you're about to die after taking just 1 bullet the tether balloons and thrusters are fun to play around with, and the environment is SO, BEAUTIFUL.
Now, that's not to say this game is perfect, or even better than JC3. The loading time at the beginning is horrendous (Though it does reduce the load time between dying, it's hard to nearly impossible to see when it's dark, the aiming tripped me up at first, the physics screw me over more than I'd like it to, I hate the new wind break mechanic as is makes the wingsuit harder to handle, the models are kinda creepy during the cutscenes, and I will admit, I still liked the way JC3 did things just a bit better in terms of settlement liberating.
I don't believe this game screwed up as much as people say it did, but this game does seem more like a proof of concept more than anything else. I really hope that, if they make a JC5 (Which they have no reason not to, they combine the better features of JC3 and 4 together. Actually, just keep the gameplay from 4 (Improving it as they always do, but structure it closer to JC3 in terms of completion, BUT, don't make it that you HAVE to destroy everything in each settlement to complete the game. Maybe you just have to destroy 2/3 of the structures in each settlements, and once you've liberated them you -can- send a squad in to dispose of the rest, but it would detriment you compared to if you destroyed it yourself.

I miss C4, grenades, a 3rd weapon (dual guns would have been nice again) and the old Rico Rodriguez voice actor. + The story and writing suck too. They made a somber, serious boring story, when even with the crap writing, Just Cause 3 knew it was silly so they kept it light and funny most of the time. It's a dam shame, We'll see how Just Cause 5 is lol-
At this point I think it would have been better if they just made a super Just Cause 3 DLC with upgraded graphics, or re released Just Cause 3 as Just Cause 3. 5 with updated graphics, a huge added on map with new story and everything, new DLC's later down the road, and kept all the explosive options and crazy ---- from Just Cause 3 for $60. I know this would never happen, but it'd be awesome. Hell, in a perfect world make it multiplayer too with a 10 year service plan: D: D

This game will obviously be boring, ones before got old fast, Mercenaries quickly got boring, Ghost Recon Wildlands quickly got boring, novelties wear off you see. Driving around south American/banana republic settings with no substance or not much to do will be boring. Blowing stuff up gets old quickly, unless in short bursts or smalller settings (Battlefield 4/Red Faction. RDR2, Skyrim and Witcher III as open world games have worlds teeming with life and activities, even The Division as time went on had to create many more activities and game modes to stop it becoming stale. And the same now apparent with RDR2 online that needs to be fleshed out. Lack of content is always a killer.

Only 2 weapons, and no grenades or explosive C4? Why Take those out? They took out so many explosive options and opportunities. I just got Just Cause 3, 3 DLC packs, 3 DLC weapons, and 4 DLC venicles for $14, and I'm having allot of fun with the game. But only being able to hold 2 weapons, no grenades, and no C4 sounds like I'd have allot less fun with Just Cause 4. Even though the game is on sale atm, I think I'll spend my $50 on Skyrim. We'll see if Just Cuase 5 has all the destruction options from Just Cuase 3 and more. :): )

Ive never had a problem with the loading times, but I was very disappointed when I was playing this game. Just Cause 3 was amazing, but this game is very difficult to look at and the guns and ammunition systems are very annoying and hard to use. This is a very clear downgrade from Just Cause 3. Im sorry, but its the truth.

I personally hated the just cause 3 liberation, it felt repetitive and got old by the time I got to the last region. The progression In just cause 4 seems more varied and doesn't make base liberation mandatory and a cheap stretcher to the story. Go on. Disagree.

-The new conceit-? Are you guys never played Just Cause 2? Just because you own a base, it doesn't mean that the things in the base are yours. You have to destroy them because they belong to the dictator. And since when Just Cause became a logic game?

Lol, I got the game free on Epic. And after playing a few hours I thought maybe they gave away a demo version or something. Then I found this review. Just Cause 3 felt so much more finished than this thing.

2 weeks ago, I was deleting some games from PS4 to make place. It was hard to choose which games to keep and delete, but one thing for sure: I deleted Just Cause 4 first without any hesitation.

I played it after it was free on epic game stores. apart from the free roam this game is very boring, it is repetitive, cut scenes are bad, graphics are poor, AI is dumb, I am not a huge fan.
