That was awesome PC memories, I really liked it but I must be one generation older than you two. I started in electronics in 1972 and computers in 1978 and IBM clones in 1985. So as you two were talking I was remembering all that you said and the 2086 8MHz AMD CPU system that I started with in 85. My older computers were build on breadboard and bought working units, the only way I could afford to get a computer (PET, VIC-20 and 64. then came the choice Apple, Orange, IBM PC or IBM PC Clone. So I went with the least expensive, a PC Clone. So cool to hear the old stories, thanks a bunch: -)

I love the AE-9 but I hate the following.
The Voice Clarity Options.
Noise Reduction.
Accoustic Echo Cancellation.
Smart Volume.
Mic EQ.
They sound so bad.
I paid extra for this LMFAO, wow.
Other than that i'm happy with it.
What made me buy this was the Microphone Technology.
But it's a load of CRAP, Soundblaster, masters of sound.
Can you not hear how awful the Microphone effects are?
It even has the Listen to this Device option so they obviously know.

Perhaps in the future there can be an -advanced options- in the app for users that like to customise settings. (I personally love to tweak settings)
Can do things like: - Slider for SXFI-ness
- Different room profiles (Floorstanding audiophile stereo speakers, large theatre profile for movies, etc)
- HRTF only
(Seeing a lot of potential in this product, excited to see what the future holds for Super X Fi)

I am a long-time Creative Sound Blaster user, who no longer has a desktop PC and now only uses a laptop (for everything.
I am looking forward to getting the new Creative bluetooth headphones with built-in Super X-Fi.
My laptop does not have USB-C but it does have bluetooth.
I hope the headphones will fully support all older Creative SB tech/software, in addition to the new Super X-Fi.

really. super xfi is just new generation of sb play! rebrand into xfi. very demeaning of xfi lineup.
not saying its gonna be bad, but emulation surround not gonna be overcome real surround. use young ears to test it.
not a hater cause i use sb since sbpro, 16, awe, pci, live, audigy until xfi
and wow. that AE9 is interesting.

I like it that you guys pay attention to sound (the most neglected part for gamers) but I do miss Brad Chacos and Alaina Yee. Is there any chance that the real The Full Nerd will last almost 2 hours when Ryzen3 comes out? If it is as spectacular as the current rumors (Brad, you know what I am talking about) make us believe.

I remember a few episodes ago, I believe it was Adam who said he has been looking at vinyl and that it gives a 'fuller range of sound' than digital. This is anti-scientific (see Nyquist Theorem. Vinyl is less accurate than digital audio. That and different mastering explains the differences in sound.

The marketing guy ruined his credibility by falling for rtx and drooling over the 9900k, as good as both are, the 2 overpriced, sillicon lottery products are knee jerk reactions to what amd is launching in a few months, kind of surreal.
