A few weeks ago you guys were complaining about your heat wave. We have got a big one in Europe now, courtesy of the Sahara. Imagin 31-36 degrees Celsius at least 4 days in a row, 25-28 degrees Celsius in the houses which are developed to trap heat in the walls and >25 degrees in the middle of the night (3 o'clock. Not pleasant. :(
The nasty part is the lack of sleep because it stays so hot. Now at 10 PM still 29 degrees.
On another topic, because Gordon talked about flasback episodes. The show Alias (JJ Abrams, Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, David Anders, ) had a flashback episode halfway the first season because JJ Abrams spent too much money on the earlier episodes. He tells about it on the commentary. Somehow they pulled it of, it actually is not a boring episode. This show is underrated, watch it if you haven't seen it yet, even though it is only 360p. This was the big break for both JJ Abrams (Tom Cruise had him direct Mission Impossible 3 because he was a fan of the show) and of course Bradley Cooper. Quentin Tarantino also acted in two episodes (13 and 14 of the first season out of my head) and directed those two episodes.

AMD would bundle for Black Wednesday, say a nice discount on a motherboard, like they say Intel won-t match AMD on pricing and AMD is relatively cheap. Things is, as said, Intel still owns most of the market and while AMD is growing market share that is from something like 20%, it will take a long time before it is eating massively into Intel in Laptop and Server- and Intel can get spend, spend, spend as it is sat on masses of $. The shareholders won-t let it discount, so AMD doesn-t have to discount (and AMD shareholders won-t allow AMD to discount, they haven-t seen a profit in years. However, Intel shareholders will accept investment so Intel can throw money at development, say some very clever -APU- development. GPU isn-t just for gaming; it is also for machine learning-
It's unlikely, but some say they could even buy Nvidia.

I have a suggestion cause I respect all of your efforts: Show more personality. We all know you have it, but it seems that your sense of obligation to do the best work you can is hindering the natural, organic feel of the podcasts. I for one dont watch or listen to podcasts if the talks cant go their natural way, forced back -on-track- for the sake of an informative, technical conversation. Those are great and primarily why I have so much respect for the group of you. But I want opinions. I wanna see the confidence to express why it is you feel the way you do. I wanna hear controversial speculation and negativity, so someone else in the group fires back with a thought or point that is, at the very least, entertaining to hear. And you folk are naturally entertaining, so. go for it, go hard. Dont let the internet keep you down.

I-ve been watching these episodes for quite some time now and it-s great that #100 is so close, congratulations! Sure there-s some stuff and individual-s attributes that can be either endearing or annoying but it definitely feels like this core crew is rolling smoothly through these episodes. The only negative personal attribute that still grinds my gears is that APM seems to either not listen, research and/or remember at least 2-3 specifics per episodes (probably because he-s too busy -controlling the vertical and horizontal-. I don-t want to end this comment with a negative; APM-s pronunciation goofs are hilarious, he does great transitions, he seems to always be looking for viewers- questions to pose and he [tries] to keep the others on track! -

The 2700 got replace by the 3700X, The 2700X got replaced by the 3800X Facts. People please wait on overclocking benchmarks because the 3700X isn't going to be near the 3800X in Overclock, AMD learned Big time from the 1700/1700X/1800x not being any better than the 1700X, The 3800X with it's Binned 40 watt extra TDP is going to Overclock well this time, There's no way they would release it for another 100 dollars if it wasn't worth it in some $100 dollar way, after the 1800X dibockle! 5. 0Ghz on these chips is not a myth, PPL Will see.

PCIe should be uprated, but I suppose that all that would happen is AMD would immediately release a GPU that overloaded it. But only being able to get 35W (real world) out of a PCe16 is a pain for a lot of users. SFF for a start where cables are always a problem, we are winning with M. 2 so something a bit chunkier for PCIe, say an actual rather than theoretical stable 75W for a start would be great for a general purpose/ light gaming SFF.

7-7-7; July, 7th, 7nm, will be a historic date. That is worth a ton including for marketing purposes. And, no, it's not the same if Nvidia or Intel does it unless there is also an issue with a specific date that means something special that happens to fall on a weekend. The ONLY reason AMD is launching on Sunday is because of the actual date. If July 7th fell on Wednesday, they would launch Wednesday.

High multi-core chips for average users and gamers have only been available at decent prices since AMD Ryzen launch in 2017. That being said, how long is the development schedule for AAA games? It's probably more than two years. Which means Brad is probably right that it will take a couple of more years for games to take full advantage of 8+ cores. And just imagine if Ryzen had never been launched?

Time Stamp: 7: 15 Is this on A Mac? Gordon that is so freaking Funny, Oh My God. But at the same time it's a sin because there are people out there that still Live in the Steve Jobs Error, LOL There's people who unless they watched the HBO movie wouldn't know who he is or Know that he is dead! His cheated and stolen company is too, but People haven't caught up with that yet.

According to AMD the new sweet spot form ram speed is 3600. 3899 and above infinity fabric switches to 2 to 1 speed on infinity fabric. That will increase latency but you get the increased memory bandwidth for the people that need it. Pretty much every ram stick up to 4000 they have tried worked with no issues and the memory controller can do 5000 on x570 in theory.
