Alaina unboxes and takes apart Cooler Master's new mini-ITX case, which sports a 200mm RGB fan at its front. For more details on the case (like price, etc, check out our article on PCWorld. com: Shot on a Canon C100 Mark 2

Can you remove the front radiator fan completely, customize and clear out the lower half so the gfx can use the full chassis length of 300?
(chassis is listed as 210mm gfx clearance with front fan gone. but the chassis is 312(l)x216(w)x301(h. So 312mm implies at least a length around 290mm, right, if you customize the front fairing a bit by clearing obstructions? so, could we fit a more regular sized gfx in, of say 260mm? I prefer passive cooling anyway, with the gfx and psu blowing air out, and the pressure difference sucking air in. Never understood the need for blowing in AND blowing out. That feels like you are messing up the pressure deferential. Ofcourse its hard to say without testing each airflow scenario for every unique system. Nevertheless, a more passive cooling system makes more sense to me.

1: 25 I was screaming at Alaina: -girl, put that box upside down and let gravity do its work-. I don't like SFF but I do like it that Coolermaster uses 200 mm fans, I wish that every case would have 200 mm fans exclusively with silent bearings and PWM. Put a 3900X, 5700 XT and NVMe 4. 0 SSD's in that H100 once the AIB-cards for Navi come out, it is building time!

So basically it's massive compared to the SG13, and all you really gain is a 200mm fan and some extre drive mounts, at the expense of GPU clearance and cooling (as the GPU fan will be sucking air from the fairly solid case floor.
Shame. I liked the initial demo at Computex.

I wish there were more compact atx mesh cases with mesh panels this year and we can finally get rid of the glass, rgb and all that nonsense. Don't mind the filters, dust gets in no matter what. And make them square angled, please. All the weird shapes really mess me up.

I've been waiting to see this case, thank you guys for the video. I have been considering a Ryzen APU ITX build, and this case looks like it has good possibility. However, no white means it goes from an instant buy to just another option.

I am so glad I clicked on this, I have a cooler master case in this line one of the larger ones and ive been looking for a perfect size case for a build for my girlfriend, and I've never seen that Silverstone in pink before. Sold lmao.

being an itx case, and being somewhat cube shape, the motherboard should probably be on a horizontal mount instead of vertical. that would allow for the PSU to mount in the -basement- without interfering with gpu or cpu thermals

Guys. Come on, this case is huge and also a TERRIBLE sff case. Cooler compatibility is horrible, thermals are horrible and cooler master CLEARY didn't plan this case properly before releasing it.
reply

Horrible layout with the full size ATX PSU placement. No way for the GPU to breathe. No exhaust fan placement and top down only cooler clearance. Thermals are an issue from reviews I've seen today.
