my next card will be NVIDIA i bough my VEGA 64 new in feb 2019 and AMD is abandoning it with new features like RSR this happen to much ive been all AMD/ATI for 15 yrs just tired of spending alot of money to be abandoned on driver support i bought a asus hd5870x2 4gb ddr5 duel GPU card 1000 cards made paid 1,000 in 2010 a lot of money then and by the end of 2013 sent a email asking why , and was told i should buy one of their new cards the focusing on new cards only.. got 3-4 in 2014 and 1 in 2015 just tired of this lackadaisical out look on customers and support... that 1000 5870x2 was a nightmare as for support and my VEGA 64 also 3 yrs of black screens due to driver issues HARDWARE DOES WHAT FIRMWARE AND DRIVERS TELL THE HARDWARE TO DO. NO EXCUSE NOT TO ENABLING RSR ON OLDER CARDS OTHER THAN MARKETING TO SELL NEWER CARDS

I'm glad that amd pushed nvidia to implement nis by releasing fidelityfx and a few months later nvidia pushed amd to include an in driver upscaler technique. This is the only competition we see between them in the past two years regrettably ,and I hope value to price competition be back soon because those super inflated gpus and price gouging schemes are run their course and everyone want a new gpu at msrp. I'm looking forward to get a bang for my buck kind of graphics card without bleeding my precious savings!.

upscaling war be like:
Nvidia: here's an ai upscaler that kinda sucks
AMD: here's cool sharpening
Epic Games: here's TAA but used for upscaling
Nvidia: here's an ai upscaler that basically reaches perfection
AMD: here's lanczos but with our cool sharpening
Nvidia: here's lanczos but with standard sharpening that works on a driver level
AMD: here's lanczos but with our cool sharpening that works on a driver level
AMD: here's literally epic games TAAU but we rebranded it

you think that when I activate the new RSR technology amd I have a 4k screen and usually I do game in original 2k and when RSR and activate it tells me that the resolution and in 4k then it's are better than original 2k I have miserable to see the difference but I think it's more beautiful in virtual 4k than normal 2k when I activate the Radeon Software Adrenalin RSR...what do you think I should gamer in RSR in virtual 4k instead of the original 2k

... Vega 56/64 as in 'Radeon-WX-8200-PRO' best get this for the 1000 for a 56 which has been proving to be finally worth it for sure as it competes with a 1080 in some areas . even though released for a 1070 or at best 1070 ti near competitor .... The software track of fine wine for AMD has been proven to be MUCH more TRUE then NVIDIA, EVER GAVE US...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I used my 6600xt to play elden ring upscaled from 2k to 4k on high settings. It looks amazing and it feels even smother than just native 2k somehow. To me they basically gifted me a 3080 and I shall use this 6600xt to the absolute max. I do own a 1080p 144hz screen as well as a back up.

yeah no it does not just work. I tried using it in cold war and it literally lowered my resolution to 1080p. if it does work at all it only works in games that already had FSR which is pointless. The only times I ever actually got it working it crashed after trying to change the resolution again for more fps.

Doesnt seem to work on a UW 3440 x 1440p resolution monitor. Learn More wizard says use 2560 x 1440 but thats not same aspect ratio as a 21:9 monitor. Tried various lower resolutions (full screen) and none work. Tried it in FIFA, World of Warships, Evil Genius 2 (FSR OFF) and Cyberpunk (FSR OFF)

Honestly, so far, my favorite use case for RSR is when using RTGI with reshade as FSR can sometimes create depth buffer issues. Since RSR is applied at the very end (after reshade even) it helps get clean upscaling without any excess banding or artifacts applied to the reshade profile
