Alaina unboxes, tears down, and walks us through Corsair's new 4000 series cases, a set of ATX/E-ATX mid-towers. Shot on a Canon EOS R Mark: Great review. I'm trying to decide between this and the BeQuiet 500DX. I prefer the look of the 4000D Airflow (including the yellow accents, but 2 x 120mm basic fans are a bit mean. The value for money is with the BeQuiet, when you factor in that it comes with higher quality 3 x 140mm fans and RGB. I feel like the BeQuiet would make a great system 'out of the box' but for the 4000D, I'd need to buy fans and then the price difference disappears.

Aww the one thing I was wondering about is how much space you have at the front if the drive bay is in the front position. Could you still fit a 360 rad and fans and also be in the front position? Other than that AMAZING video. Thank you so much for this. I think I might grab this case. So much cleaner than my current Corsair Case.

I just got a white 4000D Airflow. The only thing that I don't like is the mesh on the from filter is so loose it gets sucked into the fan. My fix for it was to get chrome finger guards for the front fans, It actually makes it look a bit more premium, but most importantly, it prevents the dust filter from touching the fans.

Am I just being picky thinking the drive brackets and trays should be gray to match the case? You will see the drive trays a bit I think. Also the yellow is horrible. It just clashes with that neutral gray/white. I like the airflow one overall. That white works so well with PC cases.

so i got 4000x and was wondering if i will be able to connect sp rgb pro to the included lightning node core where the included sp rgb elite fans are connected? As it is impossible to purchase sp rgb elite fans separately and i want to add 3 more fans to the case

If the case is tucked in below the desk you do not need glass window/rgb. Also you can remove the side panel to the desk for improved airflow. With these simple optimizations a 25$ case is enough. if you do not care about looks and quality.

Really wish they made cases with PSU shroud is that you can remove it easily to plug or unplug your cables to the power supply. I don't have the biggest hands but it is really hard to just shove my hand in to make the connection.

Do you feel that innovation is dead with ATX cases? I mean, if you've seen one ATX case, you pretty much seen them all. Airflow in ATX cases are generally good; it's pretty hard to mess up making a half decent ATX.

Glad to see Alaina back with the teardownS. Imo The 4000x doesn't seem particularly worth it for the price hike whereas the airflow case looks nice. Maybe take a sharpie to the yellow if it is annoying -

That's not -Corsair yellow- on the USB port. It's part of the recommended USB color-coding scheme and means High-current or Sleep-and-Charge port. Similar to how blue stands for SuperSpeed (USB 3. 0)
