Very well done & short review!
I actually scored one of these cards off of AMD site in a nearly 1 hour struggle to get an order though.
(AMD blocked computers for refreshing to many times, went though 2 computers and got the order placed with my phone)
I only got the 6900 XT because I wasn't so lucky to get either of the 6800 variants last time.
Considering the fact that the board partner cards seem to sell for more then the base price AMD advertised and regardless best of luck finding any modern graphics card now.
I told myself if I was to be so lucky to get an order though. I'd just deal with the hole in my bank account.
The 6800 XT is much better value, but. At least I can say I got the best card AMD offers at the moment.
Pairing it with my Ryzen 9 3900. & my 32gb of ram I am hoping to at least get 5 years out of this setup. (Still being able to drive a min of 40 fps at 1440p on high to ultra)
But with how fast tech is moving due to just how well AMD been doing these past years first on CPU's and now graphics cards. I am getting nervous with my investment.
The 6000 series is kinda like the first gen Ryzen of their graphics cards. Big come back, but not quite on top.
AMD has now surpassed Intel, if Nvidia doesn't watch themselves AMD will do the same.
Right now its evident that Intel has peaked and needs more research and development time.
But Nvidia may have quite a few more tricks up their sleeves to try to dominate over AMD.
I kinda personally hope things peak for a few years and major gains stop. (So my PC can last me)

This issue is whether you should buy the 3090 or the 6900XT because neither of these cards are priced against their own respective stack of cards. They are priced as Halo products against each other. And why do you guys continue to say that if you have the money to buy either of these cards you wouldn't care about spending an extra $500. Most well to do people I know would care a lot about spending an extra $500 if they don't need to.
And you can't claim that the 6900XT is worse at content creation than the 3090 if you haven't tested it. To extrapolate the results from the 6800XT which has fewer compute units is not good enough to categorically say the 6900XT is worse at content creation than the 3090. I bet that, just like in gaming, it would depend on the software you are testing.
What you guys need to do is a 3090 vs 6900XT review across both games and content creation as well as with SAM and RAGE on/off, DLSS on/off, and Ray Tracing on/off, and show overclocking capabilities. I know that's a hell of a lot of work.
After all, after everything is said and done, this is about value. When people ask which card they should buy, what they are really asking is whether it's a good deal for them. That will depend on what you plan to do with the card, what the card is capable of, and how much it costs. Apparently, you guys don't have the data yet to recommend the cards or not when it comes to these two cards only.

Just take into consideration both the new Xbox and PlayStation use AMD GPUs based on this generation. It is safe to assume most games that are cross platform will support a version of RT that is better supported by AMD. Not to mention once they start using DirectML it should narrow that gap in RT performance a bit. Nvidias version of Raytracing just reminds me of their Physx years. They make you think you have to have their optimized version, but it is always just a niche area and a more open version will take hold. I mean just look at the Cryengine for instance. They have an extremely optimized version of RT support that doesn't even need RT cores. AMD focused on raw performance were Nvidia focused on shoving DLSS and their version of Raytracing down everyone's throats.

-If you consider buying the 6900XT than you don't care about money and than you should buy the 3090. -
What kind of argument is that? As if everyone who is willing to pay 1000$ for the GPU must also be willing to pay 1500$? It is 50% more!
AMD somehow said they see the 6900 as competitor to the 3090? Even if they did, it does not make sense to compare the performance of these 2 cards and then say 3090 is 9% better so you should buy this one without considering the prize.
You make the argument the 6900 small lead in performance compared to the 6800 is not worth the big difference in prize.
Well you should make the same argument when you compare the 6900 with the 3090!

Did you have the green startup screen problem.
I received my card replacement and I still have the same issue.
I have a Samsung 50 inch 4k smart TV and I am using hdmi cable to connect to the pc but I have a green screen every time I turn on the pc it will disappear after loading the windows.
this is the only 4k display I had and I tried from 10$ to 55$ 2. 1 hdmi cables but I am always having the same problem If I used my old 1080ti or rx580 they will work perfectly, I tried with couple old 1080p monitors and they worked fine but all this monitors have just display cable.

Regardless of what the numbers are we should all be excited for the future. This is the first time in a long time that AMD is even on the board with Nvidia. As a consumer this keeps each company working and innovating.
AMD is doing a great job and in the next couple of releases they might just come out on top! This time around I got a 3080 with its second gen RTX features. But next year might give AMD the time to learn and bring to market something that shocks everyone. Either way like I said we all win and are truly getting amazing tech from both companies.

I could have bought a 6800 XT or 3080 but for 1440p ultra wide 160Hz I need the extra 10% of the 6900 XT over the 6800 XT similarly 10GB of VRAM doesn't cut it so 3080 is out. I'm not paying an extra $500 for a 3090 under any circumstances. That leaves the 6900 XT as the only choice. Plus the lower power requirements are perfect for my ITX system that already has a 5950X in it, so power was a big factor too. I don't and nobody I know gives a sh-t about RT or DLSS, native resolution rasterization is where it is at. We're kind of old school like that I suppose.

Bought one today, obviously for way to much money, but had no choice, it was either 6800xt this one or 3090. But only could get my hands on the 6900xt (new in stock) the others were second hand. And 3090 is just to expensive. And 3080 is not much different in price compared to 6900xt. The 6900xt seems the best card right now for DCS in VR with the G2, so I pulled th plug. Hope it's worth it but I come from a gtx1080 founders edition, so the impact should be quite significant.

I feel like AMD could have easily crushed completely NVIDIA this time around but they willingly decided to do not and instead they sneakily priced their cards slightly closer to NVIDIA, probably bumping revenues was the main goal this time around, exactly the same can be told for Ryzen 5000 regarding its price range. The real battle will probably happen for next generation.
Have a great weekend guys and keep it up the great job

Your list of games really sucks. Mostly dominated by games Nvidia does better in, and almost nothing the other way. I also don't believe that it's an average of 6 percent faster than the 6800XT, given the fact that it has 12 percent more cores and is the better silicon. But I'm not saying that the premium is worth the money for everyone, but this is very biased. Poorly done here!
