I just don't agree with the hardware requirements. TPM isn't necessary for security and the CPU cutoff is draconian. If you can't install it on a gaming laptop from 2017 sporting an Intel i7 7700HQ, 16 GB of RAM & nVidia GTX 1050 mobile GPU, then they aren't worried about my security. they just want me to buy a new laptop.
Can't wait for those of you who went for the beta to figure out how to strip this monster down into an ACTUAL working OS that doesn't send analytics to home and try to sell you something at the same time.

Now what i notice is Most people resist change, most people do not like change, even if the change is sometimes minor, now i've been using Windows 11 since the official release date, i run it on my HP envy 360 Laptop, have not experienced any hiccups so far, seems to be a solid upgrade on a PC, besides you can always go back to Windows 10 if you don't like it, so what have you got to lose? Test the waters people.

I've been on it for almost a month - no issues thankfully. Apart from minor interface tweaks, it's pretty much the same as W10.
I'm sure it's more complex than that, but casual user's POV, the change is minimal.
I give it a meh/10.
If I had to pay for this upgrade, I would have been very disappointed though. But it's free, so whatever.

all these comments on pc's with Ryzen CPU's, I have a Ryzen CPU R 5 3600 with 32 GB ram and a Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE MOBO and with the latest patch I haven't seen any drop in performance and with all the strict requirement of Windows 11 well let me say I am ok with them', everyone should want more security right

Hold back on upgrading? Because AMD threat to file a court injunction stopping MS Win 11 intro will go on for the next year on disaggregate heterogenous ix86 applications optimizations leaving AMD processors out? Well, at least MS and Intel are now picking up the development cost. mb

Yeah, Mark doesn't really know more than us insiders. Last i heard, he doesn't even run 11 on a main machine. So basically he shouldn't have an opinion. I drove a Tesla car once, but that doesn't give me the right to review or advise people on the car. VM's don't count.

Thanks. But I won't be poisoning my computer with Windows 11. I do, however, look forward to the anti-trust hearings and laughing at the fines the EU will levy on Microsoft for their blatant attempts to trap users in a Microsoft-only environment.

Windows 11 is fantastic and totally worth the upgrade, especially for gamers. It's faster, more stable, has better DirectX support, Auto-HDR is AWESOME, upcoming directstorage support means instant load times. It's just fantastic all around.

I am PC enthusiast and I am not looking forward Windows 11, in fact no planning to upgrade to that junk at all. Windows 10 is supported by 2025 and 11 will get replaced by then anyway.

I know AMD and Microsoft both released patches today for the two bugs.
