My notepad dark mode bugged out on me. Resorted to using notepad++. No clue how to recover the notepad dark mode now as I've tried to get rid of it and redownload it via Windows update to no avail. Been failing using the command prompt via DISM was no help. Well anyways, as a Windows 7 ultimate user who felt I had to upgrade, so my games can not run into issues I would say I've had a good time on this OS. I've had a problem with going back to a restore point which forced me to go to Windows 10 for a bit as I was lazy to install Windows 7 but went back to Windows 11 to give it another shot after a few days and it's been as already mentioned not bad.
Took over an hour tho as it was moving my 2 TB of files to the OS (as before) but after that I been having little issues like that dark mode notepad from MS that bugged out. Microsoft's Edge was like a damn virus as it was everywhere in the settings options and for every little tid bit of information they pushed you to open Edge browser just to get information on what this or that setting does. Had to not only kill the process to perma turn it off in settings but had to rename the folder as well just in case since I don't use it anyways. Also, MS downloaded Edgechromium browser too for some reason thankfully they put it in the same folder as Edge.
Of course had to kill off some telemetry, Cortana is easy to turn off completely and there's loads of things to turn off in settings I may suggest getting a small tool called ShutUp10++ I got from Rob Braxman Tech. Other than some lag on File Explorer with my Fences program on the Desktop it's been a smooth ride. I really like the OS. Glad I skipped Windows 10 (even tho it was kinda cool for the few days I played around on it.

I might be more inclined to get Windows 11 if Microsoft would add more meaningful features
Tabs for Explorer
Fences-like funtionality on desktop
Ability to simply click or hover over a folder on your desktop to preview its contents
Ability to pan and crop your desktop background when setting it
Ability to choose a list or grid layout for the Start Menu (including for -All Apps-)
Also, they should bring back Windows Media Center, and create an associated Smart TV app so that Smart devices can stream your PC content

Windows 11 came about because Microsoft doesn-t want to spend money programming to target and maintain -old- hardware anymore. New Windows generations will be short lived and much cheaper to develop and maintain (for Microsoft. It is, in a sense, the death of an inclusive Windows - i. e, Windows as we-ve always known it. RIP.

The thing I despise about Windows 11 is being forced to combine my taskbar buttons and not being able to see open program titles on the task bar, dragging to a tskbar button to drop in a program and no longer being able to use Quick Launch. I would move to 11 in a heartbeat if they at least brought back task bar title labels.

first microsoft account, now you also need a amazon account, google account and what is next
visa account or Chinese like id to use the internet.
I will not be making a Microsoft account so i can use my Personal Computer
Microsoft is becoming a AppleHoles and traitors to PC community.

i just recently updated my laptop to the latest version, and it was extremely laggy to the point it's not usable. I'm using amd ryzen 5 with gtx 1650, it was supposed to fixed the audio stutters that I randomly hear and boost up its performances but it just made it worse.

But will they fix the stuttering for amd cpus? I think not. Amd has announced a bios update for late May. meaning at the END of the spring. And who knows whether this -fix- will actually solve the problem, instead of making it worse. Nope. It's still a pass for me.

A few hrs ago, I tried to upgrade my laptop to Windows 11 (via Windows Update) and got the BSOD. I then restarted my computer, went into WU, and paused the installation process. I guess it's not ready yet

The crippled taskbar alone is a good reason to avoid this downgrade. I can't begin to understand why Microsoft would release this when Windows 10 does everything needed and does it well.
