Pushing The RX 7600 VRAM Limits In 8 Games

There has been plenty of discussion lately about VRAM capacity and how graphics cards can keep up with the latest games. In this video Keith walks us through some VRAM stress testing of AMD's Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7600 to see how well it holds up. Peter: 8 GB of memory is fine for this level of graphics card, the obvious elephant in the room is the price of the card for this low level. In theory it should roughly perform as a 5700 XT, that card also does not really need more than 8 GB except for a few games if you want to push the shaders (the new Resident Evil games comes to mind). For midend cards more than 8 GB is required these days. The real problem is that both AMD and NVidia just charge too much for this tiny GPU.

Hi Keith, I don't know if you still contribute to wccftech but regardless, a shoutout to wccftech for this; they pay attention to Linux (and mesa and dxvk and all that) these days and they use Phoronix as information-source. Well done!

I'm curious to see these to budget cards from AMD/NVidia tested on PCI-Express 3.0 motherboards with DDR4. I'm assuming the GTX10xx/RX5xx owners is the target market for these cards.

This year im skipping all AAA games and play only gems from the yesteryear with my Steamdeck
My pc only plays warzone2 or mw2 these days and used for work 90% of the time

Way to follow NVidia's pricing scheme AMD! I don't see how this'll get you any of their market share, but it makes the Intel A770LE look better.
