Very good tutorial for technic but i don't agree with you about the final result. In fact i think that the final result looks really fake and it seems that the girl has a kind of mask on her face. I think there is too much manipulations and it doesn't improve the model. It is a danger with Photoshop to go too far in the improvement. It is my opinion. But i see all your tutorials and i learn a lot with them. go ahead. I love you; ) Sheers from France and Happy new year

I am sure someone has told you by now but in case. Dodge and burn it from the film days. When enlarging a print in the darkroom one would block the light from getting to the paper making the area lighteraka dodging. Or when more light was added to an area it wasaka burning. The most common tools were cardboard taped to coat hangers, I would use my hands in weird shapes plus the tools. And feathering was just moving the tool back and forth slow or fast.

I think he can afford a dual 4K 34 inch HDR monitor configuration, 128gb of R, 2 Titan Vs, 2 Ryzen Threadripper 1900x with monster cooling, a 500$ case, 10TB of SSD storage + 20TB HDD (not too realistic the storage configuration, but it's OK, a 1500W 80+ Platinum PSU and some top notch motherboard, but he just shows us that our computers are not an excuse to not progress/start Photoshop

Awesome tutorial! To correct color shifting when dodging and burning with Curves, it sometimes also helps to set the blend mode of the Curves layer to Luminosity.

Your teaching is awesome because you explain what it is first and then the technique. The sphere example to explain dodge and burn is awesome. Keep doing this

Hi! what are your favourite / tested CMYK proportions for the skin? (highlights, shadows etc) so that it looks natural, neither too pasty nor too red?

Hey man, love your videos. However, it seems a bit odd to me that you have a 32 minutes video without mentioning the Dodge and Burn tools. :P

Funny enough, I have a graphics tablet, but when it comes to editing photos I prefer the mouse. The tablet is my go to for digital art.
