Thank you for your help and this great tutorial. However, the Healing Brush Tool doesn't work rightly every time. The Target icon would just not pick or target the spots correctly and it rather picks totally the wrong target spots unexpectedly (especially if you do that more than a couple of times. I see dark spots being put (by the Target icon) from the light places and vice versa. It's weird.
Plus, (although i'm able to change the cursor into a Hand Tool as shown) but it'd NOT grab the image and wouldn't enable you to move the image around: ( Btw I'm an absolute beginner.

This is a great way to match skin tones, but I'm not sure that this is the best example. Skin tones naturally vary over the body, even on different parts of the face. Here you are matching a shoulder with a part of of the face that has make up applied, and I'm not sure why you would want to do that. Also, there is no logical reason to match the brightness with the face. Having the face brighter actually draws attention to where it should be rather competing with the shoulder.

Lesson learned:
Select all layers when using clone tool to only modify on adjustment layer and not interfere with original
Clone tool in multiply/ darken/ lighten mode copies only the texture
Use curves adjustment layer to first target brightness (use a hue saturation adjustment layer to remove color to avoid distraction) then color as well to be done thru curves
To counter too much RGB use CMY
What did Heather Yaeger Change her insta to?

Im trying to follow, but when you say use this tool and then theres stuff you have that I dont on your screen and I cant use your method without this tool. Your tab is labeled properties, but my propertieswindow is on, and thats not it.
Can you clarify how you ended up seeing those graphs to use? At 11: 17 seconds, the tab is called properties, but properties window on mine is not that.

I have been needing this for years now. I just started working on my repairs more this year and have come to the point where I need to. A Makeup Artist did a wonderful job on a beautiful model but my model was very very fair skin. The makeup art made her face tanned. I was able to match the face to the body with ease. Thank you Sir!

Thank you, but your method is not working for me. i am modifying skin texture of 3D model, there is nothing that separates the upper body skin and lower body skin. so it requests precise matching color, but closely matching color. would you have a tutorial that matches color completely?

Can you please do a video with a darker complexioned brown skin model? I shoot a lot of my daughter during dance, and shes a few shades darker than you, but sometimes she gets really washed out, almost grayish.

Why using the Curve, I remember that you have a video using the shortcut: Alt+Shift+I and click two points, you will have dimensions of RGB and then adjust point A (RGB) = point B?

If you are getting (No pixels are more than 50% selected) when trying to use the Lasso tool) put the Feather as 0% and that fixed my problem.

This is probably the most useful video I've found on photoshop. I use these techniques for so much more than just skin tones. Thank you.

I usually paint the whole section with sample color from the part you want to match it with and decrease opacity and flow as needed.
