This looks so great! But: I have followed along with every step, and when you click back on the face and the whole color scheme changes, while I click back on the face and absolutely nothing happens. Add palette, create curves layer, choose icon rather than mask, double click on middle eyedropper, click on skin sample, say ok, say no to default, click back on the face. Nothing. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I'm so frustrated! Please help?

This technique changes the color of the entire image, include the model's hair. Hence, it's not a true solution for fixing skin tones, exclusively. I think that needs to be emphasized. That being the case, there are many other ways to tone the image, to include the skin and everything else.

Why doesn't Adobe just implement a vector scope in PS and LR? Good technique here, but it's absurd that we even need to resort to such measures at all. Absolutely mind boggling that they have not added this extremely rudimentary tool which they already have in their video applications.

Hi! I have a problem: First time i did it, ok no problems. Second, when i select the mid tones on the skin, the red curve is crazy, and my image is totaly red. I can easily drag the red down, but i dont understand why this happens! Thx if someone can find a solution =D.

Why do the colors turn totally blue when I click on the skin tone pallet some times? Also, when I click on the skin after I have selected the skin tone color nothing happens? I am thoroughly confused. Any help is appreciated as this is a great little tool if it works.

Thank you very much for the information. I wanted to ask you if in some of your videos you have how to remove shine in the skin in a professional way, especially in groups of people. thank you greetings from cali-colombia.

This joker is good at photoshopping but has litle knowledge with cameras and videostandards.
these skin color palettes only works if you have an whitebalance of 6500K
otherwise you will ruin your photo and mood.

I would be interested in understanding how to change color on a shirt, which has a dark black color. this tried but in my case I can not give the desired color and photoshop does not help in any way.

Yes, but youre changing the hue of the entire scene. If she was standing in snow, the snow would be completely different color now. How do you change ONLY her skin tone?
reply

the issue here is wrong whitebalance
easy fix in camera raw.
colors starts from white so if you set white correct all other colors will show up correct

Thank you so much for your videos. I am a model, and a lot of people think that models can't edit. I will prove it is wrong. Thank you once again. :)

But this paints the whole image in that color!
You gotta mask this skintone for the face+hands only, so that's extra manual work unfortunately.

This isn't working for me. It almost does the opposite color wise. I did everything exactly the same. multiple times. Idk why this always happens.

Are there instructions to upload the skin palate into Photoshop? Or does it need to be installed. Sorry, I am mostly an Elements user.
