Hello! I can't understand why 8 bits and 16 bits F. S. need different processes. I read the Adobe manual about apply image and it works with a 8 bits luminance, from 0 to 255. And by the way, adding (let's say) x + the inverse of y, i. e. x + (-y) is to me the same as x + y.
Please, do yo have any video where you justify why two different processes. Of course, I tried both on a 8 and on a 16 bits image, and I do see exactly the same result. Any clue, please?

FOr some reason My photoshop doesn't have the same top bar as you when i select the patch tool. There is an option called Use pattern and Mine doesnt have the same pattern as yours. mine by default is set o grass. But on yours it says use pattern with a black line on a white background. When I use the patch tool, i don't see any change at all. Ay ideas how to make y photoshop exactly like yours? I am using the latest version of photoshop.

Question: So Ive been going back and forth between This video & the High End Skin Retouching video. Ive incorporated both into my routine but I just feel theres an easier way. Do you use both methods or do you prefer one over the other? And if both methods use what is the most efficient way to use them? I was thinking start with PHP and then do the dodge and burn curves in between the High & low Frequency layer

question, i have watched many videos about Frequency Separation, when do low freq, most people use filter>blur>Gaussianblur but i have also see people use filter>noice>dustandscratches, whats the difference? and another question, why do you begin with blemishes in the beginning on a separate layer while lot of people do it in the high freq(detail?

Honestly, the character with the strong accent (difficult to understand) looks like a cartoon and is apparently very impressed with himself because he must remain on screen (very distracting) during the whole video I can't get anything done as I'm rolling around on the floor laughing! You should get into standup comedy!

let me start off by saying thank you for this video it is amazing, I am however having a problem with the H part, for some reason the healing brush tool after I take my sample is not coloring anything, like it does not want to work! does anyone know what i am talking about?

Very interesting and helpful: )
In another video you showed us the frequency seperation with the mixer brush. Can i blend the colors after php method with the mixer brush? Or do both of these methods not work or make sense together?

Thank you amazing tutorial!
Only one question: in the previous tutorial about frequency separation you described the technique of mixer brush to uniform the skin color. Can it be applied also in this new workflow?
Thank you a lot

I have a problem, when trying to apply or correct through with the patch or heal tools, I would not see any option for current and below layers, Is there anything I need to configure for changing that?

The frequency separation action doesn't seem to work for me. I just get a white canvas after I run the action. I'm using Photoshop 2021. Any suggestions? Is it to do with the blending mode?

Can someone help? When i'm trying to make patching layer above low frequency layer, it just doesnt work, its not patching the areas i want, it just changes the shade, not the structure
